  1. That is a coincidence from the fact that some internet traffic gets by the ship/RCI filtering system even if you don't have Voom with iPhones. You probably also got notifications from off ship for other things - that is sorta normal, but not directly related to the chat/text function within the app.
  2. Your cabin sink and the goo in the shower dispenser should work.
  3. Welcome to CC and coming out of a long lurk mode. In general, you get more feedback if you post during the day on EST.
  4. While you can see the shows currently available via the app, realize that anything can happen at any time to postpone/cancel those on any sailing, with COIVD being the main driver. On the flip side, shows can be added at the same time as well. If you base your booking/cancellation decision on show availability, don't cruise.
  5. That's why most of the time cancellations come at least 330 days out.
  6. More than 100 of the 2,850 passengers on Celebrity Eclipse had COVID-19 when she docked in Sydney Friday after a return cruise to New Zealand. The New South Wales government classified the ship as Tier 2, meaning the number of cases have ‘moderate impact to the vessel which can safely maintain critical services.’ Other cruise ships Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas and P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Adventure also arrived Friday and were given Tier 1 virus status, meaning there were fewer than 30 cases per 1,000 passengers and no to low impact on the vessel. Majestic Princess, which arrived Thursday, was designated Tier 2 and Viking Orion, which also arrived Thursday, was designated Tier 1. A statement from Celebrity Cruises said less than 4% of the onboard community tested positive for COVID-19. It said the individuals were fully vaccinated, mildly symptomatic or asymptomatic and were monitored by the ship’s medical team. 7. The way the app chat function works within the app should be no different whether you have a Voom package or not.
  8. You need to set it up (or he can set it up with your info) and then share the login with him - the system knows you bought VOOM so when you set up your login it won't charge you the on board Voom fee.
  9. You can ask for anything specific - they are usually pretty good at accommodating.
  10. You can buy ($1.99pppd) the text/chat option within the app via the three dots in the upper right. You can then use it via the same three dots.
  11. Look at an upcoming similar sailing in the app - it should list the shows.
  12. Don't buy Key for that. You can get on quite early by just getting an early check in time - Key, at best, might get you on maybe a few minutes earlier and the kids club may not even be open that early.
  13. If you call the water feature in the Solarium a pool, yes.
  14. You can share your login with anyone on the ship at anytime.
  15. The disparity was even bigger during the COVID cancellation waves - don't try to figure out the "why" just wait a bit and call if delayed more than a couple of weeks.
  16. Very unlikely, though you could ask on board - getting Royal Up emails, at any time, is not unusual.
  17. The denial email should come by about 8PM after sail away.
  18. If you really want to know, the GS folks on board might be able to tell you.
  19. Some have reported being able to do that, but it may depend on the ship and even the staff.
  20. Gone from the planner for the last two weeks fleet wide - still available on the ship.
  21. Apparently, that's rare., though sometimes it may be an IT issue (shocker) in the loading into the booking system. Also, the corrections I mentioned might not be to the itinerary itself, but maybe pricing as well (see the thread on the Oasis TA in 2024).
