  1. Your location on the ship relative to the sats/receivers don't matter - your location relative to the nearest wifi access point is what matters. In the cabin, your best reception point is likely to be near the cabin door - the wifi AP is in the hallway. Even that likely won't matter - the dropouts are due to the system overall, not between you and the AP. As long as you have a good wifi signal anywhere on the ship, the rest of the problems are upstream which you can't fix. You can ask at the Voom desk how much longer the testing phase will take as it is very unlikely it is over (no, once settled, you won't be getting 100Mbps down).
  2. The stock is up sharply from the time the investor call started - up 30% in the last month.
  3. For RCI, one has to assume that's still better than the cabin going empty.
  4. I bet if those folks would have asked very early on (like 1yr out+) they would have been told no. It could be that in very rare cases where it's convenient for RCI (first point where folks need to clear immigration anyway) and there's a lot of demand (and RCI charges for it, making them money), then RCI may allow it.
  5. Whatever minimal cost for RCI could be made up by the loyalty sales it may generate.
  6. Not so sure about the photo but most reporting suggests that they should get the Voom discount.
  7. Other than the balcony discount, all other C&A perks are usually only applied on board.
  8. You can apply that benefit to any Voom package offered, including the 24 hour package - it might not be obvious in the options, but it should be there. Getting the free photo may not be obvious either - just ask one of the photo staff how to do it.
  9. The PVSA fine seems to be about $800 (it was $300 not long ago). RCI would have little/nothing to do with anything coming directly from the CBP - you'd have to ask them about it though it doesn't sound right.
  10. Rhapsody has some bargain rates out of Bridgetown.
  11. Look at the current sailing in the app - some of the bars should list them along with price.
  12. This may depend on what kind of work you do but if Oasis VOOM worked for you Anthem should as well. She also may get Starlink which may improve performance. The ship just got back from Europe so there’s no recent US feedback yet.
  13. The VOOM discount and the mock tails/drinks might be appreciated by some.
  14. One has to be really careful when buying an upgrade - make sure you cancel all Royal Up bids BEFORE doing so. We have had reports of folks forgetting they bid, self-upgrade and then getting charged for the Royal Up win.
  15. Again, that is likely more of a coincidence of how the automated emails are sent. Given the inventory for your sailing, look for the denial email by 8PM after sail away.
  16. That may have been possible pre COVID, but most reporting suggests that it is not an option now.
  17. Look for a live thread from one of those ships and ask there.
  18. RCI doesn't advertise/promise the speeds of the two tiers - we only know them from customer reporting.
  19. Assuming it hasn't happened yet, corner the hotel director before/during/after the top tier party.
  20. All of the answers you see here are speculations since no one knows the details of how Plusgrade handles the process. Most likely everyone gets that email and it could indicate no more “regular “ upgrades or more likely an automated mailing at a certain time period from sailing regardless of inventory- it is certainly no indication of your rank in bidding.
  21. That was the main change- total loss of deposit if you cancel.
