  1. Was on the first tender off the ship and am in the shade at Kaanapali Beach already! 🌴
  2. I went once and they served tea from a large tea pot, so no choice of flavors. There were 2 trays of sweets and one tray of mini sandwiches circulating. One type of scones (in my case, with raisins). Clotted cream and jam came shortly after. My spouse and one child went the next day and it was similar, but with a different selection of sweets.
  3. Does anyone know the "real" hours for laundry? I had a problem with the machines and was told the machines don't work until 8am, but the rooms are open before that. I didn't want to put my clothes and tokens in just to have the machines not work.
  4. Glad I checked in at 10:30! I was on board by around 11:15.
  5. Did you ask in the roll call? That's the easiest way to find people on a particular sailing.
  6. Who I would I call? The move over offer only has email contact info.
  7. Thanks for your answer! We're not taking the offer this time, but have a December cruise booked and are considering another for March. If we get an offer in December, we might take it to pay for the March cruise 😍
  8. Received an offer this morning. Will decline, but am wondering if the free cruise could be one that I have already booked (but not paid for) in December, or whether it has to be a totally new booking.
  9. @HaveDogWillTravelthose flavors actually sound interesting, but I wouldn't want to pay for room delivery. Do they have them at Slice?
  10. Thanks, we'll be on Emerald, so still syrup, but slightly better?
  11. I hope you don't mind me asking here about regular coffee (no fee). Is it all the same or is there better coffee anywhere? I remember old threads about how bad cruise line coffee was (from a syrup).
  12. Thanks for your answer. I will look into Allianz!
  13. Thanks. I guess I will have to shop insurance carefully.
  14. I know a few people have reported that Princess returned funds from a cancelled cruise back to the original gift card. Has anyone had to cancel and get refunded through trip insurance? I would think that it would be the same as paying with cash, but it sounds like it might not.
  15. I have had to book multiple cabins and even though they are linked, I had to pay for the cruises separately (though with the same card). As for dining, you can register you mum as a dining companion in the app and book a table together. If you actually want the same exact table (and not just any available table for your party), you have to discuss that on board with dining staff.
  16. Was there any improvement between 2022 and 2023?
  17. Yes, in the app, you can register that you have friends or family as dining companions and select a table for you all together. You need their booking number.
  18. @CalLuvsCrusingToo did you end up boarding at pier 35? How was it?
  19. It's been a while since I've cruised, so I can't really say what my favorite is, but I love this thread. I'm going to try to get several of the favorites others have named. DH loves French onion soup, but was not impressed last time. One son ordered creme brulee every night, another ordered a cheesecake every night. With 5 people in our party, I figure we can sample almost everything on the desert menu 😁
  20. Pier 35 is not a deal breaker, but I would like to know in advance for planning. Plus, from what I've heard, it can be that bad: waiting outside (could be cold and raining) for 2+ hours, with unknown access to bathrooms, etc.
  21. I guess the secret is out!
  22. Do you know when they might have a schedule for 2024? Looking at a cruise in March and want to avoid the dreaded pier 35.
  23. Do the phones need to have service? I have an old iphone, but have switched to Android. Would like to communicate with another apple user on land.
  24. That one has three prongs on the plug. @mtnesterz says those won't plug into Princess outlets.
  25. Thanks for the info. I will try to see all three shows!
