Sounds good. He is doing a total of 4 shows on my sailing. The only other vocalist will be Isaac Matthews, but his CV doesn't seem to include Rock Opera. I guess it will be a surprise.

FWIW, I called the Bus and was told that youth can pay the youth fare in cash without the HOLO youth card (which is different from what the website says). I'll be there in 3 weeks, so will report back if anyone is interested.

Emerald to Hawaii on July 6. So does vocal instrumentalist mean that Dan will be the instrumentalist and someone else the vocalist? It's been a while since I've cruised, so can't remember any entertainment from my last Princess sailing.

Our show is on sea day 2 (of 5) and he can't really fly off until our first port day (day 7). What is the stand-alone show called? On the day before, we have "Vocal Instrumentalist Dan Delgado" and the day after, we have a comedian.

Not to hijack this post, but does Princess do anything special other than birthday cake for birthdays? I'm considering a cruise in 2024 that will coincide with my kids' 15th birthdays.

OMG, NOOOOOOO. We did this on our first Princess cruise not knowing anything about it. We were so embarrassed (we had been married about 15 years at the time), but we did get a consolation prize of champagne, coasters, and sweet snacks delivered to our room.

Are all of the production shows usually full at 7:30 or is Rock Opera particularly full because it's new? Currently, we have dinner reservations at 5:40, so would not realistically be able to line up at 7.

Will all cabins (Emerald & Crown) have at least 2 usable plug outlets? At home, I normally charge 4-5 devices on 2 plugs (some during the day and some at night), so I can make do with 2 plugs, even if one is in the bathroom. If I'm limited to 1 plug for any reason (I've seen some plugs blocked by switches and other equipment), I will need a hub of some sort.

The OP is still stopping at a foreign port. Is the problem that is not a closed loop cruise? What about Panama Canal or other repositioning cruises that leave one US city and return to a different one?

They are still listing a Monterey port call on a March 2024 sailing that I briefly considered. Sounds like that is pretty iffy?

I never get that, but it sounds like 2 people still have to get the plan and the child only gets unlimited soda instead of alcohol.

You can easily get around this by technically putting one parent in each cabin, but actually sleeping in whatever cabin you want

I know this is not quite what you wanted, but we sailed on the NCL Sun in a balcony for 5 when my kids were small. Wouldn't do it today with 3 teens bigger than me 😉

I didn't know you could leave a vehicle at a BART station. I will have to look into that. I assume it's outdoor parking. Is it secure? Thank you. P.S. Could you report back after your return on how easy it was to park at Dublin & get to and from with luggage?

Is this still true? I read elsewhere that the Emerald had these free sauna/steam rooms removed. I assumed they had been removed from the Crown as well.

I remember using the stream room on the Ruby and am sad it will be gone from the Emerald when I'm on board next month. Do you know if the Crown has already had the stream and sauna removed? Will be on her in December. -

@jameslee I think you need to clarify how you would like to "manage" all of the reservations. If you mean, you would like to be able to make dining reservations for everyone, it's fairly easy, as LACruiser said. However, if you are trying to book excursions, get OceanReady, and other pre-cruise preparation, I'm not sure you can do that. At least, I haven't figured out how.

How does Princess or your TA know that you only paid $9000 for the gift cards (face value $10,000) reducing the fare and commission? If that is how it works, it would seem that the TA would have to absorb the small loss in commission because the price has already been promised to you at the time of booking.
