  1. The other advantage is a suite gives you plenty of space to keep to yourselves if there is an outbreak onboard, plus you can order room service from the MDR menus if you don't want to mingle with the CC riffraff. 😁
  2. I always pack a change of clothes in my carry-on but haven't carried more than that. But we also cross-pack our checked bags so if one goes wandering off on its own journey we each have some of our clothes to wear. Have fun in Paris. If you're anywhere near the Iles Saint Louis at any time I highly recommend Aux Anysetiers Du Roy for a excellent traditional French cuisine at reasonable prices in a quaint 17th century building that still has original murals on the walls.
  3. From what I've been reading if you catch Covid onboard they move you from your nice suite to a different cabin to isolate. ☹ My thinking on booking a suite and a club class minisuite for our first two cruises was that it will allow us better social distancing for meals, especially if the Dine My Way is as much of a shemozzle as it sounds from posts on the main Princess board. Plus those prices were too good to resist.
  4. Oh damn, does that mean I have to go jewellery shopping before my first cruise in a suite?
  5. Yes, I know. Post #93 referred to not breakfasting with the riffraff, meaning all other passengers, and my post was pointing out that suites only dined with the Club Class riffraff. Just some very tongue in cheek banter.
  6. The Australian market is small compared with the US, and for some reason US manufacturers seem to think all Australian women are tall and thin. I buy a lot of pants from Marks & Spencer. They usually have three lengths to choose from. Good prices and free delivery if you buy over a certain value at a time.
  7. This problem has been happening for a cpuple of weeks now, at least since those cruises were released and possibly even before that. For some odd reason email links and FB post links are picking up the US prices, not the AU prices. Logging into Princess brings up the correct fares.
  8. Read the Passage Contract that was emailed to you. The Australian version is quite different in this respect. There appears to be no restriction on soft drinks.
  9. We need someone from the US who is coming here for a cruise and is prepared to bring an extra bag of stuff for us. Columbia make some great pants that are light, quick drying and easy to take up, but they don't sell online to Australia. I got some sent to a friend's place in California but the postage from there was horrendeous.
  10. Unfortunately the womens sizes on pants like that rarely go above a size 14-16 and US companies who do make plus sizes don't sell them in Australia, not even online.
  11. That would be the Club Class Minisuite riffraff as suites also dine in this area. 🤣
  12. That would require their software developers to be sensible! 🤔😋
  13. I gave up on beaded outfits. Too heavy! I've picked un a collection of Camilla silk kaftans on sale which are superlight and never crush, plus I bought some gorgeous lightweight tops in Macy's when we visited the US in 2018 and 2019. I actually started focusing on lightweight evening outfits before we started cruising. I had the opportunity to tag along on one of Rolf's business trips to India where we had several internal flights with a checked baggage limit of 15kgs, so I had to pack extra- light as Rolf had business clothes as well as casual. I got very creative - one of my most complimented tops is a super lightweight floaty "jacket" which I wear over a black shell top. It's black with dusky pink and blue feathers printed on it. It's actually a pool coverup and cost a whole $7 on sale at Myers.🤣
  14. Maybe but it's been a good couple of weeks or more since I loaded them.
  15. On the Princess website, under On Board Our Ships -> Food & Dining -> Speciality Restaurants. Then scroll down until you see Sabatinis and you can click on a sample menu. It may vary slightly onboard but usually it's mostly the same. You can see the Bayou Cafe menu as well.
  16. Ours are both huge but so far it hasn't rejected them. They loaded OK and I'm not going back in to check just in case!
  17. I've built up a nice collection of very lightweight evening clothes so that's never a problem, but for the rest I'm a chronic overpacker! 🤣
  18. For drying tops in your cabin invest in some inflatable coat hangers. The thickness of the hanger when inflated stops the front and back of the garment from sticking together as much so it dries quicker.
  19. That's probably because they might only have 1 or 2 larger tables and would need to time them so the kitchen runs smoothly. Land-based restaurants also do this.
  20. This Sabatinis is a bit different than the others I've been to, it's a Sabatinis Trattoria. Princess changed some of the Sabatinis to Trattorias a couple of years pre-Covid. The original menus looked a bit weird, not traditional Italian, very modern and not very Italian in my opinion. However the current menu looks much more interesting. We enjoyed the Sabatinis ambience on other ships and expect it to be similar on Coral. Be warned, the serving sizes are huge and there are 4-5 courses. I've learnt to only eat a portion of each course, no matter how yummy it is, so I can get through the whole meal.
  21. I actually like Noumea except when it's raining. I know where to get good coffee now, and the restaurants at Lemon Bay have a nice beachy vibe. To me it's just like going to one of Sydney's beaches for lunch and a change of scenery, but with a French accent.
  22. I think they will these days. They did have different online to onboard prices on some of the Majestic restaurants in her first season here but I think they stopped doing that after her first season.
  23. It showed up as $29 when I was doing my Sabatinis booking. Sabatinis was $25.
