You sound like me, lol! I didn't get a decent casino offer until I spent too much on three cruises over five months AND I had no other cruises scheduled with Carnival. Used that offer in December, spent more in the casino, and again got another offer (interior, DOU in casino). We took it and are cruising to Alaska in May.

I've been on both the Radiance and Miracle last year, and prefer the Miracle voyage to Cabo. We have a seven-year old, fyi. We weren't impressed with the Radiance (sailed in March) though the water works was nice. Ensenada wasn't anything special though we (my husband and I) just walked around the port city. Lots of party people were on our sailing, so that could be coloring my view. The Miracle (sailed in December) was a great ship. Easy to navigate and never felt crowded. The cruise director was wonderful. We loved our time in Cabo and much preferred it to Ensenada. That said, the Panorama is definitely worth a look. We sailed her in May and she was our favorite of the three ship. Lots of fun stuff for the kids to do. Enjoy your cruise, whatever you decide!

Panorama with grandkids ages 2-10

My seven-year old loved it. And also be prepared ... there is a Build-A-Bear activity available on the ship. The kids club is open everyday, but, like the previous poster stated, the hours vary. We cruised the Miracle in December and the kids club was open the first night. They also had Night Owls, which involves an extra cost and begins at 10 p.m., every night (something that wasn't available on our summer cruises). Our December cruise also had a kids club dinner one night where the kids had a special section on Lido and all had dinner together. You'll be able to see all the activities once you're onboard and you log into the Carnival Hub app. Make sure you pay attention to the activities that require a reservation though. They can fill up quickly. Have fun! -
Panorama with grandkids ages 2-10

The kids clubs are broken up by ages (2-5, 6-8, 9-11) so, depending on their ages, they will most likely not be together. There is no communication device, at least not for kids in the 6+ age groups. You can always call the club from a cruise phone to see how things are going though. I would recommend you be added to the approved people who are allowed to check the kids in and out of the kids club though. Just go to registration on the first day of the cruise with the parents. And, yes, you can stay on the ship with the grandkids. My parents did this with our daughter. Can't speak to the cooking classes. The Panorama is a great ship. Be sure to check out the sky zone. My daughter loved it. -
Panorama Balcony - Deck 2 or go higher?
jerseygirlinAZ replied to nanseev's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I loved the Panorama balcony on deck 2. Yes, it is different than the "traditional" balconies, but it was very cool (at least for someone like me who loves the ocean). I would do it again. -
We're just off the Miracle and were able to get a water taxi directly to Medano Beach from the tender port. It was $15 per person round trip. Not sure about the water taxi from Medano to the arch, but I think it could be done.

First cruise without my mother...

Not sure if you're into hiding ducks, but I've seen people do tags in memory of loved ones, especially those who loved cruising. So sorry for your loss. -
Are any of the specialty restaurants worth the price?
jerseygirlinAZ replied to Sabre407's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
We love the steakhouse. I'm a vegetarian (my husband is not) and we both love eating there every cruise. Never had a bad experience there on any ship and feel it's well worth the cost. From what I understand, the free bottle of wine (or 50% off higher end bottles) is still in effect the first night. Cucina? Love it! As others have said, the porkchop (according to hubby) is awesome. I haven't had a bad dish there. Love the pasta, apps, and bread. Teppanyaki was also a great time and meal for us (most recently on Mardi Gras). Bring your appetite though cause the food is non-stop. And all of it was delicious, All that said, I'm not a big fan of the MDR, though I feel like my options as a vegetarian are a bit limited. I like the idea of the MDR, but I just think it's not for us. -
Just noticed this offer on one of my Chase cards. Select the offer, pay $100 on a Carnival expense (I'm getting cruise cash), and you'll get $35 cash back. My offer is good for the next 10 days. Check your Chase offers!

The spa tours are ongoing so you can head there anytime after noon. And, yes, you have to be present to win any raffle prizes.

We were planning to take a private tour of the Gardens on Monday, July 4 as the facility was only open on the weekends. Went to the site today to request a private tour and saw that private tours are no longer offered, but the Garden is now open all week! You just need to request an entrance time before you go. Thought I'd share in case anyone is looking for a fun, inexpensive thing to do in Nassau, especially with kids.
