  1. On our recent B2B on Regatta we had the Cyclo, which is labeled especially for the Oceania Club. On the second one we got the Casa Vides. As we've had the Cyclo before we requested to exchange it for some sparkling wine. We got Monopole blue top, I think we came out ahead. On the second one I drank it a couple of different nights in the restaurant. As far as changing it goes, that will depend on your room attendant or butler. Some will, some either won't go to the effort or don't understand how. Bottom line is the complimentary wine is really nothing to get excited about.
  2. Duh, I should be able to figure that out. My mind must be elsewhere today. I'll go looking for it.
  3. But how are you going to determine that? Are you going to ask somebody? Are you going to go door to door and take a census? I'm just not sure of any way to actually determine it. We were told our Regatta cruise was completely sold out. Does that mean that every room EXCEPT for the ones they're holding back are sold? I don't know.
  4. Got off a B2B a week or so ago. On the turnaround day saw a new staff member boarding the ship. The next day she was working at the Guest Relations desk. I'd say the quarantine for new staff is a thing of the past.
  5. Except for casino and Future cruise deposit. I'm not so sure if it's people blatantly lying or that there are a lot of people that just simply get stuff wrong. I see it all the time on cruise critic, especially a couple of other boards I check out.
  6. This is the way it was on Regatta recently. There usually is a trivia in the evening in my experience.
  7. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the tides.
  8. They told you the reasoning in the post. It is because you can frequently get in on the first day as an extra reservation. As Pinot pointed out though that doesn't always work. I really wouldn't but it as one of those things you should never do, but we usually don't. Sometimes we ask for an extra on the first night, sometimes we don't. Sometimes we get an extra, sometimes we don't. As far as getting extra reservations, not willing to share is going to be the biggest problem.
  9. In a word, NO. Waves is the outdoor grill, unless you're in a colder area people are eating there during the day and usually you'll see at least 60% or more of the men in shorts. Terrace, which I think you might have meant, is a mixed bag. No matter what you've seen, or prefer to see, the dress code states you can wear shorts in Terrace any time you choose, or khakis and polos. It's your choice for you, others can make their choice accordingly.
  10. It's real simple actually, there are always any number of people that want to assert their desires of the way they want others to dress, regardless of what the dress code says.
  11. Here's another picture to add to the mix. This is the schematic from the Oceania website with the current layout. As you can see the current small shower is on the far front right of the bathroom, the current tub is along the left wall. Suites & Staterooms | Riviera Ship | Oceania Cruises (Looks like you need to click on Concierge then Schematic) It sure looks like a sink to me in that mock up picture.
  12. Exactly what I think will happen. The new shower will sit in the footprint of the old tub. Look at the schematic of where the tub and shower are currently located. It's the only thing that makes sense.
  13. I do know they are not honoring all of their posted benefits for each level.
  14. Welcome to the Oceania board, people have been saying that for the past 15 years I've been here. I wouldn't get too excited about them changing their marketing anytime soon.
  15. I don't really understand why the plumbing by the tub need to be redone, there is water there, and a drain. What am I missing here? The current shower water and drain would just be capped off.
  16. On Regatta last week I saw 3 men turned away from the table in GDR for wearing shorts. I just didn't understand why they made it past the Maitre D stand? Why wait until they were at the table? To top it off they came back in slacks, then for some reason left. 2 women at the table were seated at a smaller table. I still enjoyed my meal.
  17. Have you ever seen the current layout of the bathrooms we're discussing? Shower and tub are on opposite sides of the room.
  18. I used one bar of soap for 16 days, and kept it in the holder by the shower head, no issues with erosion, there was still some left when we left. That's a real non issue for me.
  19. I’ve been wearing the same clothes on Oceania for 15/years or so. At least the same type, but sometimes the exact same. Quality stuff lasts a while.
  20. Any liquid without alcohol, anywhere on the ship, is included in your fare.
  21. From reports we’ve heard you’ll have a lot of space. Seems I heard a number yesterday of about 350 for your sailing.
  22. So they sent out a new one, with the heard fixed, but the show will remain. Dear Valued Guests and Travel Advisors, We would like to provide you with an important update on your cruise vacation that is scheduled to sail aboard Riviera. Recently, we communicated the details of the dramatically transformed bathrooms that will now feature an oversized walk-in show. In the description, we described a rainforest shower head and a built-in bench within the shower enclosure. We have received an update from the shipyard which indicate some necessary modifications. The ceiling-mounted rainforest shower head will not be feasible, and the showers will instead feature a multi-function wall mounted shower head and hand-held shower wand. Likewise, we will be unable to accommodate the built-in bench in the shower. Thank you for taking note of this important change. We look forward to welcoming you aboard the better-than-new and dramatically re-inspired Riviera.
  23. You seem to be setting yourself up for a disappointment by going on Oceania. You will probably look for every little thing to pick apart. Have you considered canceling and booking a line you know you like? Funny you mention the high cost of Oceania’s drink package, yet Celebrity’s, which you seem to love, is $20 a day more. Go figure. Yes, change is hard, it’s a different cruise line with different policies and procedures. It really isn’t that hard, multiple people have posted multiple times explaining the ins and outs of booking Oceania. All the negativity seems misplaced.
  24. Seems to be optional on Regatta
