Depends which cabin you’re looking for. Veranda’s are all sold out (and the issue with the overbooking). All other cabins are still available (on May 2/24 anyway).

Exactly. And for every Celebrity client who will no longer book with them, there are cruisers from Princess, Holland America, NCL, Carnival and others who have had similar negative experiences with their line and are now coming over to Celebrity. In the end it’s probably all a wash.

Good luck.

Not much chance of legal action being successful. These are the terms you agree to when booking the cruise: 7. CANCELLATION, DEVIATION OR SUBSTITUTION BY CARRIER: a. Carrier may for any reason at any time and without prior notice, cancel, advance, postpone or deviate from any scheduled sailing, port of call, destination, lodging or any activity on or off the Vessel, or substitute another vessel or port of call, destination, lodging or activity. Except as provided in Section 7.e below, Carrier shall not be liable for any claim whatsoever by Passenger, including but not limited to loss, compensation or refund, by reason of such cancellation, advancement, postponement, substitution or deviation. Not saying this is right, just what’s in the T&C.

Overpaid and RCCL says tough luck, you paid too soon.

Why didn’t you just wait til now to book? -
We were able to book a ‘Canadian resident rate’ today through our TA for a 7 day Mexico cruise departing from LA next January. BC Balcony with drinks, wifi and grats for less than $2300usd. Terms of the rate said it was good til the end of May.

When we didn't receive our refundable OBC cheque by February for our November cruise, I called Princess and they stopped payment on the original cheque and sent us a new one within 2 weeks. The original one (postmarked Dec 1) just showed up yesterday.

We haven’t cruised with RCL in 5 or 6 years, but if they’re serious about enforcing this we’d be ready to book our next cruise with them. Or whoever else will really deal with chair hogs.

TSA PreChek only allows children 12 and under to accompany their parent or guardian - spouses and other family members are not eligible. Global Entry benefits are member specific and cannot be extended to others (as per the US Government Global Entry website).

RCL reported 3 weeks ago and saw a decent bump in its stock price. -
Just checked our February 2024 Australia cruise. New price under BSE (obstructed balcony) is $500 less. Rebooked through our TA. Happy!!

I had applied for renewal in May, my wife in July. Both of us were given conditional approval pending an interview. Kept checking, but nothing in our area (we live in Alberta). Today we both received noticed that we have been fully approved - no interview needed. I wonder if they've just started to try and clear up the backlog by granting approvals without interviews?

Over 800 people have COVID on the Majestic Princess
XLVIII replied to PescadoAmarillo's topic in Princess Cruises
We’ve been served by many maskless crew members over the past 2 days, including right now! All crew members are definitely not masked. -

Maybe? Outside you see very few masked staff. Inside maybe 50/50 (at least where we hang out). -

We’re on Enchanted right now (St Kitts). Most crew members are not wearing masks. -
Are you complaining about the number of complaints? 😀

Post Sept. 6 No pre board testing question.
XLVIII replied to cruisetheworld67's topic in Holland America Line
Where did you see that cruises less than 16 days don’t require a test? When I look at the HAL website I see the following: Are fully vaccinated guests required to take a pre-travel COVID-19 test? Yes. All guests age 2 and older are required to take a pre-travel COVID-19 test. The type and timing of the test is dependent on the embarkation country and vaccination status. -
10 Days Out And Still Can't Print Luggage Tags or Cruise Docs
XLVIII replied to ARP's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We’re 16 days out. No luggage tags or eDocs for us either. You’d think this wouldn’t be so hard to fix.
