  1. On my sailing it was Hudson's on embarkation day and the sea days. I never saw the Commodore Room open for lunch.
  2. I was wondering the same thing. Really no way to upgrade online after final payment except via the bidding process. They can't even do it on chat...you have to call and talk to a CSR. Just did it last week and went from an inside to a balcony for less than my upgrade bid (which I then cancelled). 35 days to go!
  3. Always love your reviews. Looking forward to this one as Bermuda is on my radar for next year. Sailing out of NYC is amazing...hope you have great weather!
  4. Have you been over to the Roatan Ports of Call board? There should be information there for what you are looking for. Or start a post with this question and you might get replies from people who have been there on various cruise lines. .
  5. NCL has around 21 MDR menus that they rotate throughout the fleet. There is no way to tell which of those menus you will get on your sailing. It depends on where the ship is sailing from, the dates, the Head Chef on board and the ability to provision. You can do a google search and find most of the menus online but as far as what will be on your sailing, your guess is as good as mine.
  6. That's what I do also. One way to use up OBC and I don't drink more than one or two a cruise.
  7. I was in Dubai in May (land vacation, not cruise) and there are some great tours via Viator. Easy to get to using Careem (their version of Uber). But as recommended above, try your roll call and maybe someone is putting together a group.
  8. If you booked thru a travel agent, they will get the official notifications. You need to have them make the changes for you and get the credits...that is what you are using them for.
  9. I am Sapphire and travel solo often. I always find another Platinum or higher solo and invite them to share my Platinum dinners with me and they return the favor. Sometimes it is the same person at each dinner and sometimes I mix it up. Go to the Solo meet up the first night and you are certain to find someone to share. I also book my reservations before boarding as they can always be changed once on the ship.
  10. I think people get confused because RCL's deposits are non-refundable unless you pay a higher premium for the cruise overall (and I mean the deposit only, such as $250-$500 down to book the cruise). They also have Black Friday sales and price their drink packages dynamically, so they discount them on Black Friday and at other times. Taking the Free at Sea package doesn't make a difference in whether a cruise is refundable or not. As mentioned above, it's best to call NCL if you have questions on a specific sailing and timing of deposits and final payment.
  11. They won't make him move to a solo cabin. As long as he has paid for 2 people, he can keep the balcony. Sometimes that is even less than a studio, depending on the cruise. Best bet is to ask NCL what the outcome would be should a flare up occur.
  12. This is what I do. I have a Capital One 360 checking account, opened online and completely fee free. I load up my debit card with cash before I leave for Europe (or any other foreign country I visit) and use it to pull out foreign currency from an ATM once I arrive. I might get 50 euros for about 10 days and typically bring some home (seed money for next time). Have used this card in taxis, shuttles, the Tube (tap in and tap out) and anywhere else I need to buy something. I find it easier not to overspend this way as I always know what my balance is and I don't have to worry about having the correct currency for different countries (such as in Scandinavian countries). For hotels or on a ship I use a credit card but otherwise, it is this card and I love coming home with very minimal debt.
  13. Prima now has a rotating menu other than in the Haven.
  14. That's exactly what I said "won't be available until Spring 2024". It was the other poster that stated she played it on the 9/10 Escape and I was wondering how that was possible. She gave an explanation so it was possibly a prototype. Or something totally different. Under the Entertainment for my upcoming Viva cruise, Press Your Luck (another game show) has no charge but Deal or No Deal states that cards can be purchased for a fee.
  15. Interesting how you have already played it on board since the first post of this thread has the Press Release stating it won't be available until Spring 2024.
  16. The Price is Right does not use cards nor has a cost. You must be thinking of Deal or No Deal, which is an entirely different game. I believe on the Prima they played that in the Improv during the day.
  17. I know that...my travel companion won $600 playing The Price is Right.
  18. On the Prima, they have the Broadway show and the game show. There is no cost.
  19. I would check the Ports of Call board on this forum and see if someone who has sailed or is planning on sailing from Lisbon has the answers. Typically you cannot check luggage at any airport until 4 hours before your flight. I have found that most airports (especially in Europe) have luggage storage at the airport for a fee. Just google the airports website and you should be able to find if they have it and the cost.
  20. Totally agree with this. I get the Thermal Suite pass on almost every cruise and have never seen anyone use a scrub product in there. Yuck!
  21. And if you are on the Prima or Viva, the Indulge Food Hall is complimentary.
  22. Better to start a new thread vs. reviving a zombie thread from 6 years ago...lots has changed in that time. But if you have the FAS drink package, you can bring your own wine/prosecco on board with no corkage fee. And you can get 2 drinks at a time at the bar and take them back to your cabin for sailaway. I don't believe room service delivers drinks.
  23. No, you do not get Thermal Spa access with a spa treatment. As far as being sold out, it's possible since it's not showing on the app. But best to check as soon as you get on board to see if there are any passes left.
  24. You should probably unsubscribe from those. I never get marketing emails from NCL other than informational ones for my currently booked cruises.
  25. I don't believe so. I am a member but never log in and do mock bookings all the time. More than cruises, their car rental prices can't be beat and do pay for my membership fee.
