HA! Never been called that before!😉

We have the "Princess Plus" on this cruise, so we'll have internet minutes. We have used EZ-Check a lot in the past, and it's worked well. I understand there were some problems with it in the last year or so.....if anyone has tried it fresh feedback will be welcome.

Thank you for that information. It's been a bad day. Slowly trying to recover from a long illness. Yes, we are in a mini-suite on the Ruby. (It's on a Celebrity ship that we are in a C2 cabin). Lately I have been working on transportation, airlines, hotels, etc on both cruise lines and the cruise planning wires have gotten twisted this morning. Should have waited until my second cup of coffee before posting, sorry. Never had any issues with a Celebrity ship asking the purser's desk to check us in and print boarding passes, but then we have been in Concierge cabins if that makes a difference. I don't think it does. That's the last few cruises we've done; the one of the Ruby in March 2023 will be out first Princess cruise since Fall 2019, and I've gotten how I handled the airline check in. I think we used Princess EZ Check or whatever it's called. I realize that not everyone needs to ask help from the purser's office, and most cruisers tend to use their electronic devices to do things that I prefer not to do. If the purser's office cannot check me in and print the boarding pass, I will go to the internet cafe and ask for help. Thanks to all you gave helpful info. Doug Doug

On Celebrity I always go to the purser's desk and 24 hours in advance request them to check us in for our return flight. Never a problem and I always get a printed boarding pass. I know I can do that if I use my tablet/phone/pc, but I prefer having a printed boarding pass. Is that courtesy available on Princess? We have a C2 cabin if that makes any difference. Thanks. Doug

Did you continue to receive your Military Benefit OBC? I am not interested in the beverage package "upgrade", but that Mil OBC is a major reason I look at Princess for longer cruises. Doug

I agree. The times we sailed on Princess the "medallion class" worked well. Of course, we didn't use the smart phone for anything, but we did like the door unlocking and locking with the medallion in our pocket. I have heard a lot of people say the medallion app is crap, but once on board, it worked well. I am one of those fortune people who do not ask much from the app (we are green for our March 2023 cruise). Only problem we had is I had to re-book all our MDR meals about 2 weeks after doing it the first time. Now I check those MDR reservations every couple of weeks; no issues. Doug

You, sir, are luckier than I am! I've heard others have problems with Firefox and the chat function, so I know I'm not alone. Some weird setting I have I suppose; I never see it on my Firefox screen. No biggie, I keep Chrome on my PC just for occasions where Firefox doesn't work the way I think it should.

Don't use Firefox, Live Chat doesn't show on screen. Chrome works fine....but I hate Chrome for anything else!😲

Thank you Jelayne. All your "usually" things above have been what I've experienced over the years. However, on our last two cruises I booked, both this year, when I asked about the TA breakdown (Refundable/NonRefundable) I was told by our TA (two different guys) that the Celebrity OBC was $x50 and the OBC from his agency was $x00; What shows on Celebrity.com is higher by $150. He added NEITHER was refundable. For our other Princess cruise this year it was the same. In years past as you mentioned the OBC from the TA was generally refundable. I often use all the OBC, so didn't have a refund. There have been several times however, when I did get a refund on our refundable OBC Celebrity cruise. The Celeb cruise we had in March 2023 had a refundable portion which I did get as a refund. What is odd is that my TA indicated two OBCs on our Celebrity booking (he said both NON refundable) of $x00. However, at Celebrity.com the header on my login page shows we have an OBC of $200 more. Anyone know how to see exactly what that OBC is? On Princess.com I figured it out, but I cannot find that page on Celebrity.com. I am retired military, but I have no RCCL stock. Doug

This might have been said already. Use something other than Firefox. I use Firefox for EVERYTHING right now except if I want to use Princess' chat function. Right now I use Chrome if I want to use chat. Good luck. Chat, when it works, and you connect with a decent agent, is so much better than trying to communicate with their agents using the phone. We have a cruise scheduled November 2023. Celebrity.com after logging in my account shows I have $x00 OBC at the top of the screen. That is more than I expected. Anybody know where I can see just what that OBC is, and what portion, if any, if refundable? With Princess for instance, just about all OBC is not refundable except for my military benefit. Thanks. Today is 13 January 2023. My wife is curious how close we are to reaching the next Captain Club level. Going to the appropriate page at Celebrity.com it says I have 226 points, needing 74 more to reach the next level. My question is, does that 226 points include the cruise I have booked for November 2023? I searched celebrity.com in vain trying to find an answer. My guess is points are only awarded after the cruise completes, but I'd like confirmation. That does make sense. I realize that if those points were included now I'd lose them should we not cruise. That only makes sense. But over the years I have learned many things in life do not make sense.🤔 Doug

Roger that, no refund for the stock ownership*. Anyone know about the military appreciation OBC? Or the OBC given by the TA for booking with them? Doug *Seems only fair. I bought my 100 shares near the all time high in the mid/60s. It's today worth about $11 a share. 😩 However, I am grateful CCL still voted to continue the ownership OBC, trust me, I'll take whatever I can get!

That's find for regular tours, I understand that. But, according to Princess, could not be done by me online, my TA had to book the shuttles.

I guess the airport shuttles are not considered an excursion, but I can't figure out why. Princess was unwilling to charge our two RT airport shuttles to our OBC. I know I could have waited to book the return to airport shuttle once on board, but I didn't bother. Doug

Anothger queston I ought to know but it's been awhile since I've sailed on a CCL cruise line: On my next cruise I have some OBC from booking the cruise. Also some OBC from my TA. Then OBC in recognition of my military service. Lastly, OBC from the Stock Owner benefit program. USED to be, the OBC from my TA was always refundable if not used. OBC from the cruise line was never refundable if not used. But I cannot remember how the military and stock ownership works? Anyone had experience with them lately? Also, I just had a lengthy "chat" discussion with a Princess rep. She told me I could NOT use any OBC today for airport transfers for our cruise that sails the end of March from Galveston. I wanted to know if I could use some of that OBC for purchasing airport transfers. She said no, but I could ask for a refund and change to my OBC instead ONCE ONBOARD. So I directed my TA to add the airport transfers to my account. Seems a little cumbersome to do things that way.....but I've got a transcript of our chat and will take that with me when I board.😎 Doug Doug

Did you check for a Roll Call for that sailing? I'd think there is one for that cruise. Good luck!
