  1. @Catlover54 law is still my main profession. And I wouldn´t call myself influencer (I don´t earn any money with my reviews). I just want to give information. I have the privilege to see and cruise with new ships as my DH is a cruise journalist. steamboats
  2. Our day in Zadar is online now including the Chef´s Table and a very extense behind the scenes tour. steamboats
  3. My answers: 1/2 - there is nothing obviously visible neither at the pool nor at the Cliff Whirlpool. But there is something (not that chair type, but it looks like you have to hang on) at the indoor pool in the spa area. Check my photos on here (for the spa it´s the last one of the indoor pool). 3/4 all doors to public restrooms or the outside areas either open automatically or have those new touchless bottoms where you just have to wave. Doors to the public restrooms did open automatically when you "touch" those buttons. There are also designated wheelchair accessible public bathrooms. steamboats
  4. I'm not onboard anymore but you can find photos and the menu of The Shelter here. steamboats
  5. A new entry... Day 1 - not too many photos but some of The Marquee Lunch and Atlantide Dinner and cocktails in the S.A.L.T. Bar. Tomorrow will be sort of an overkill of photos with a S.A.L.T. tour, a even more extense behind the scenes tour and Chef´s Table at the S.A.L.T. Lab. I´m still working on the dinner photos. steamboats
  6. ETIAS is no visa but a pre registration for those who are eligable for the visa waiver program. It´s pretty much the same as ESTA for the US. You have to register online and then get your stamp in your passport at arrival. So far it´s not yet implemented and no date given - just "in 2024". steamboats
  7. @Smitheroo that 50/50 thing only applies to people working for the government Like teachers, police and more. Regular emoyees can change to private insurance when the earn a certain amount but they have to insure 100%. Also when you're self employed you can change to private insurance. steamboats
  8. In Germany you can get private insurance when you have reached a certain monthly income or when you are working as a government employee (50% of your health costs are payed by the state/government and for the other 50% you have to get private insurance). So in my case it's because of my job. steamboats
  9. Without watching the video... I saw a photo of soft serve ice cream machines in one of the booths outside Indulge Food Hall onboard Viva. On Prima those booths on both sides had wine dispensers. steamboats
  10. Here in Germany there´s nothing like a free treatment. In other EU countries there is. As a German with public health care in Germany I do get the same treatment in any other EU country as a local with public health care gets. So in Spain public health care is free but that might be less than you get as public health care in Germany. So when I get sick in Spain I get the same treatmen as a Spanish (and I might get more/better treatment in Germany). O.k. I have private insurance so I have to pay anyway whereever I am in EU. steamboats
  11. Thanks, I change it. I have it correct in my Insta Reels. steamboats
  12. Today´s entry is featuring the show cabins (3 suite categories). Unfortunately we could only visit the suites with a ship tour - so too many people to take better photos. Those on IG might watch my reels with a walk through. This is the last entry about the ship itself. The next entry I will start the review of the cruise and then our last two days in Venice. Some highlights will be a behind the scenes tour or the Chef´s Table. But those are the entries I still have to work on. steamboats
  13. I haven´t been on the Dawn, so I can´t copmpare. As far as I remember it was sort of "half playback" - I remember a sax player and a second guy. I don´t remember whether the second guy did the playback or whether he had a guitar. I think I took a photo but I´m not that far sorting my photos yet. steamboats
  14. Unfortunately I can´t enlarge the photos. I´m sorry. steamboats
  15. Right now but it will be extended. steamboats
  16. Yes, the greenish ones are the souvenir bottles. Here's my detailed view into our Deluxe Veranda suite. steamboats
  17. You do... Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) steamboats
  18. @Catlover54 I wasn´t sure whether those single wines mentioned in the menu are the ones from the Connoisseur´s List and the Champagne Pairing. But it sounds like you can also just "upgrade" for a single wine. @DCPIV there are no water bottles onboard Silver Nova which you have to pay for. The regular Vero water is available at each bar or at the refill stations. There´s also a bottle of still and sparkling water in your minibar (which is refilled several times throughout the day). There´s a nice bottle (per person) in the suite which you can use for carrying around (either on the ship or on shore - and take back home as a souvenir). The crew will be happy to refill this bottle. steamboats
  19. Which doesn´t mean a thing... Seaside Collection has 11 luxury hotels (6 in Germany, 3 on the island of Grand Canaria, 1 on the island of Lanzarote, 1 on the Maldives). They are a German company and also the hotels are basically in destinations which are German favorites. So it´s nothing really focused on the US market. With only 11 hotels it´s not a big brand like Ritz Carlton. I don´t think they really knew what they got into. They first said they want to focus on their hotel guests as future cruise passengers. But they also wanted to be international. When they christened the Mozart it was during an international travel agent convention and the godmother was from a big TA company (don´t remember whether US or UK but English speaking market). No invitations to German media. Now for the Ravel they did invite international media and travel agents (including Germans - which I only mention as the company is Germany based). So I think they are still in sort of a finding phase for their product. But I only see excellent comments and great photos from the Ravel so far. steamboats
  20. @canderson thought that was the butler's job 😂. I'm not sure whether this is only "a choice" or all wines. The Chef's Table was 11 courses with one white and one red, an Aperitivo, a cocktail inbetween and a variation of an espresso martini with dessert. Dinner at La Reserve with Oceania had a wine for each course and I made it back to my suite 😂. steamboats
  21. As the information onboard and the menu was confusing we asked back. Some information from Silversea regarding La Dame: 160 Dollar are for the Signature menu plus wine pairing with 4 reds/4 whites/1 dessert wine which are only available in La Dame. Instead of the Signature menu you can also chose from the regular menu. For additional 90 Dollar you can go up to a wine pairing with wines from the Connoisseur´s Wine List - so a total of 250 Dollar per person. For additional 140 Dollar you can upgrade to a champagne pairing. So that would be a total of 300 Dollar for the menu plus champagne. steamboats
  22. Not yet fixed 😉 as I didn´t have access to my main computer where all the files are stored (I´m on my laptop right now). Some information from Silversea regarding La Dame: 160 Dollar are for the Signature menu plus wine pairing with 4 reds/4 whites/1 dessert wine which are only available in La Dame. Instead of the Signature menu you can also chose from the regular menu. For additional 90 Dollar you can go up to a wine pairing with wines from the Connoisseur´s Wine List. 23. There was even one cruise on the Mozart with only 4 passengers. I saw a lot of photos from the first cruise of the Ravel. We could have gone there too but were busy elsewhere. They want to be international although they are German based. The company behind Riverside is a luxury hotel brand. steamboats
  24. Today´s entry is about the extra costs on Silver Nova. Laundry service, Connoisseur´s Wine List... steamboats
  25. John (who did make the videos linked in the other thread) told me that there were only 8 passengers onboard his cruise. So that may be the reason why there aren´t so many reviews. And it´s not an all American (or English speaking) cruise line. steamboats
