  1. All I really know for sure is that you need to get lobster when you are off the ship. Heaven on earth.
  2. It's hot, hot, hot in Europe right now, so I'm not, not, not going there. Although, I sure do love it there. In the fall.
  3. I like the wandering around part while getting fresh pours. Now, that's a perfect wine tasting!! We had that on our transatlantics. And the nap time to follow lol.
  4. What? Nevermind. I still don't get why you sail Holland America, except it's convenient, right?
  5. I get confused with your postings. What reviews? I read about people raving about Rudi's.
  6. Plus, when the kids feel your anxiety, it only makes it worse. Stay calm and carry on.
  7. There are a ton of bad cabins on any cruise ship. I'm not a toss the dice kind of gal, so no guarantees for me. I like a good night's sleep, and so many cabins are really compromised.
  8. Triggerfish is one of our faves, and not often on the menu in Florida.
  9. Bingo. I used to attend the wine tastings but the presenters got too talky. TMI.
  10. I pack pretty lightly and that helps to prevent too many wrinkles. When clothes are jammed, they are likely to look like a mess when unpacking. Of course, I use the laundry service liberally as well. It's crazy good.
  11. And people say it's caribbean lobster like that's a negative. I've had caribbean lobster, in the caribbean of course, and I find it delicious!! Lobster from Maine, from Canada, from Caribbean, all good.
  12. And the fun thing is, on a back to back sailing, I scored 2 bags! How good is that. One of the very small benefits of my very expensive cruise.
  13. I have fish for dinner probably 5 nights a week. In my opinion, the dover sole in Rudi's is top shelf. Yes, there is the show and all that, but the fish is fresh and light, just as it should be. I cook it frequently at home, but without that fun flair in the restarant lol.
  14. Call them and pay them. It's very simple.
  15. Really appreciate your report. Thank you. Beautiful pictures!
  16. I love deck one. Very quiet. The advantage of having no verandah, is no noise from cabins next door. No slamming verandah doors and all that. One flight up to club orange and it's just so easy. The view out the window is amazing.
  17. You know, I seriously wonder how you can trust anyone enough to travel. If you think HAL is trapping you, that is strange.
  18. Sharing a table is not for me. My husband is completely deaf in one ear, and he doesn't want to deal with conversation he cannot hear. People don't understand. They think if they shout, well , that's ok . No it isn't and he chooses to face that on his own terms.
  19. Agree. I've never seen pizza in Italy with pineapple. They just don't do that in Sicily. It's an American custom to put pineapple on a ham but that just is sickening too. 😫 Not to mention the latest fad of bacon on and in everything. And I am quite certain there is someone to dispute this...stay tuned.
  20. I dress up to take out the garbage where I live. It's the peer pressure. But, then I am ready for dinner later on. It's a win win.
  21. Perfect response. No need to borrow trouble, as my mum would say.
  22. It does seem that every time we do a btb, we end up waiting in the lounge area forever for people who decide to roll in way after they are supposed to. I cannot fathom why this always happens except that there are people who feel the guidelines do not apply to them.
  23. But, to digress, for some people the hush-hush is good. My beloved gets in a good nap during the classical performances. When I've asked him about that, he just nods and says he was "resting his eyes".
  24. We have Whole Foods where I live and you can get escargot every day for 99 cents per. If you are willing to try Holland America because they might serve it every day, don't bother. They don't. But they have really good food and your choices are excellent! Plus, you might have fun trying a different line. Mixing it up and all that.
