  1. you can ask them to omit the receipts and they will honor your request.
  2. We were with the NS in Feb. For 2 weeks and I think everything was great. Food was very good as well as the service .the ship was sold out, so that was one thing that took patience. Elevators etc. But, we sailed on half empty ships in the past couple years, so we had been spoiled.
  3. And you have felt free to lecture others about their tone and postings. Why be so negative?
  4. I don't think it's judgemental to call drinking after midnight late night drinking. Let's call it early morning drinking.
  5. There is a huge difference between the Caribbean bus runs and the international cruises. This is where I think HAL shines. It's all about the itinerary for us going forward and I personally have no interest in obnoxious music by the pool and late night drinking. I agree that they need to spice up the daytime activities, like a return to live music in the Ocean bar, for instance. I'm all done with wasting my money on packed Caribbean cruises.
  6. Within my circle of friends, the term party hardy is a badge of honor. It's always the tone missing on social media postings. It's a very happy term of gaiety while enjoying a fun filled evening.
  7. We had excellent food recently in CO and didn't feel the need to have dinner elsewhere. No wait on NS. Ship was sold out.
  8. Bottom line, drinks at midnight or beyond is not that important to me. If you are unhappy about the fact that bars are shut down, there are probably plenty of party hardy cruiselines. I enjoy daytime too much to muck it up with late night drinking. Each to their own.
  9. Thats nice if it works. On the NS, I saw the same bartenders going from bar to bar. It didn't seem like they had enough bartenders. They were slammed. Easy to say for them to work in shifts, but I think they already do.
  10. Important to note, I bet the bar staff gets tired after a long day. Especially on packed ships.
  11. I can't imagine being quarantined in an inside cabin or even an ocean view. I came home horribly sick with upper respiratory for the past two weeks and that's enough to keep me from cruising. This was on the NS. It would be a nightmare if I were this sick on the ship.
  12. Reading all these posts about the Pinnacle Grill has made me lose my appetite. No matter how you slice it, it's still a good deal with your HIA package.
  13. Upsells are not to be found when the ship is sold out. So, it's always good to book a cabin you can live with. Most of the time we have. It's hard to figure out all the white spaces in deck plans, though. Can be crew working areas, that can be noisy.
  14. Well, that's a good point. I'm certain the poster must think that there are better lectures on Holland America but nothing presently comes to mind.
  15. Maybe that is better. First floor is like thunder. Best to sit in the middle of it all. Off to the sides is a nightmare. We couldn't sit through it and walked out.
  16. Because I've cruised that ship several times before. Why do you assume that I have no idea what I'm talking about?
  17. The MDR on the NS is so loud that on our recent 14 day cruise, we never stepped foot in that restaurant. We had club orange which was a lifesaver.
  18. If you go when it isn't school vacation week, it's probably good. The way prices for HAL are going up, it's an alternative, for sure.
  19. They did when we were onboard and the noise was like thunder. You couldn't speak to anyone if you wanted to be heard. They blasted it just like the music. A real turn off.
  20. They ran out of Bud light on our cruise. Imagine that; the most popular beer going and they didn't stock enough. The embarkation the next day must have been tough for the bartenders.
  21. We had the Have It All package, but one bartender pointed out the price increase. Just for informational purposes, I imagine. He was surprised at the price jump.
