  1. Poor guy. He didn't plan on all this. You can ask for a fan to drown out the snoring. White noise helps there. I've found with the all you can drink package, 🍸, I never hear a thing. Magic. Lol.
  2. If you said casual to me, I would be in shorts, no makeup, no jewelry, and me being me. It's a Florida thing. Mind if I bring my comfort pet parakeet while we are at it? Haha!
  3. Agree. There is something strange about handling pens, key cards and so on and then reaching for a lime for your drink. Heck, I never shake anyone's hand anymore in church because of the virus. Thanks for that observation.
  4. 10 hour trip and guides talking most the way there. What a nightmare. See, I like to doze on buses and this would seriously irritate me. It's possible that I have very little patience. Sad.
  5. I really like port intensive cruises and understand when changes are made. Doesn't mean I'm going to like the changes. I try not to get hyped up about certain ports because with my luck, those will be canceled. In Europe that can be incredibly disappointing. I try to shake it off and remind myself that I am not the Captain here. Love the uniform tho, don't you?
  6. Kind of like Gilligan's Island. Who cares about designated port stops anyway...let's all just hang out at a beach for a few days. Just like the son of the son of a sailor! I'm in.
  7. I think you were asked what was the question you had? And that someone here might help you. People here are generally smart and savvy and very willing to help fellow cruisers.
  8. To add, social media is useless. I was in business for myself and any negative rating was seen as sour grapes. Laughable, really.
  9. Wow. This went downhill faster than a a flying comet. Court, small claims, and cruisers rights....yikes. How about getting yourself a reliable PCC and then maybe your life can be without worrying about court.
  10. Bragging is the key word here. No need to rub it in guys. But, just think. Pretty soon, all of us 4 and 5 stars, and the gazillion other priority guests can maybe shift over to the non-priority lines. They will surely be shorter if HAL keeps this up!
  11. Wow, what a great adventure ahead for you!!! Bon voyage. I love following your blogs and appreciate the time, effort and money spent on your part for this information sharing. Thank you.
  12. I would never tire of the same old menus. I have this fantastic rotation at home of fish, fish, and more fish and then some chicken. I know I am certainly not hunting for new recipes at home, so a menu that rarely varies is a no big deal zone for me.
  13. Will be following and wish to thank you for posting. Travel did sound a bit disorganized but I hope your cruise is seamless and happy. Most cities are facing an ongoing crises with homelessness and it is awful. It seems no one knows the answer to this problem. Do have fun on your trip...your upsell is fabulous!!!
  14. We tip on top of the tips. We are very tippy people
  15. I remember when that was going on and I had alot of fun with that one. I ordered a bucket of bud light and they brought me 2 for the price on one. Good times!!! Lol.
  16. This is such a nice thread to follow. Thank you for taking the time. I absolutely love the ports you are visiting. Nice and cool...I think we were mid nineties in Florida yesterday. Happy cruising!!!
  17. This whole thing is disgusting. Whatever the case may be, and the discussion about compensation dollars, the issue is that nobody should ever have to deal with such a gross situation. I'd take my pillow and sleep in the crow's nest before I entered that cabin again.
  18. So there you go!!! Haha! Have a very happy birthday and a very fun cruise!
  19. Thanks for your review. I really liked all of the positives that you noted; I agree that it's a good value for your dollar most of the time. The water thing for many people is tough, because it is so expensive, but, like others, we feel tap water is just fine. I think your review is nifty, since it's so easy to follow.
  20. Some of the best cabins go early, so I also like to lock it in. Plus, this gives me something to look forward to. Makes my days happier!
  21. Thank you for this thread. Appreciate your effort and gives us new information.
  22. Yeah, we need a priest on board. I second that. I love everything about that and I am thankful for the faithful and hopeful among us.
  23. I never saw crew "sneak out" to use their phones. That implies sneaky. More than likely, they have a free moment or two to place a call. I never saw anyone work as hard as the crew. And, sorry to disagree about the "cultural pressure to walk counter-clockwise, but I never feel any pressure of any kind when I'm sailing. Maybe I'm the goofy one who walks in the wrong direction though, but no one ever gave me a stern look about it. I'm left handed and I blame all my shortcomings and clumsiness on that. Lol.
