  1. I used Azamara OBC to booked two excursions. I have TA OBC that I can use when I am actually on board.
  2. Is the OBC from Azamara? Or from you Travel Agency? I cannot use the OBC from my Travel Agency until I am onboard. But I was able to use the Azamara OBC to book some excursions.
  3. Our cruise is in January. We have two Azamara OBC coupons on our booking showing no dollar amount. I wanted to prebook two excursions with the OBC. I signed onto my Azamara account and used the "Contact Azamara" link telling them that I had $XXX OBC and wanted to use it to book the excursions. Within 24 hours I got an email it was completed and then they called me to confirm. I then called my travel agency for them to send me an updated confirmation. They did have to call Azamara to have Azamara send them a confirmation. The OBC from my travel agency will be coupons in our cabin upon boarding.
  4. I am sailing in January 2024. I booked through an online (USA) travel agency. My confirmation from them showed the OBC amount. On Azamara's website it just shows two coupons without amounts. I used the Azamara contact portal on the website (after I signed in) on July 4, requesting that they use my Azamara OBC to book two excursions (leaving a $4 credit). It was taken care of within 24 hours. My TA said that it showed that I owed for the excursions. The TA called Azamara and they said that it shows as prepaid and conveyed that to the TA who sent me a correct confirmation. I can't complain.
  5. We did Oceania’s Tahiti to Tahiti 10 night trip. It was fabulous. We did several of Oceania’s excursions and they were excellent. (Drift snorkel was fab.). Keep in mind that if Windstar still has the sailing ship in FP, non of the cabins have balconiesn but the ship does have the swim platform. Paul Gauguin and Windstar home port in Tahiti. Oceania is seasonal. Again, oceania was wonderful.
  6. We are on the January 3 cruise. I have joined the roll call. What date are you sailing?
  7. Would love to know this information also. South Africa will be our first Azamara cruise.
  8. Have you been on the Oceania website. They have a new marketing banner. O'Life is going away and as of itineraries beginning October 1, 2023 they will be "Simply More." We will no longer be able to book "Cruise Only." It will be Simply More with or without airfare.
  9. My mistake - actually end of next month - August. 120 days.
  10. Have you ever flown Singapore Airlines? I am flying from the USA. I usually fly Delta, but their flights do not work timewise. I have looked at Japan Airlines, ANA, United, and American. Singapore Airlines has the best itinerary and prices.
  11. Onboard Dining, Beverage & Internet Packages | Azamara Scroll down to the beverage packages blue bar. It is at the bottom of the blue bar.
  12. With all of the chatter (complaints) about the Azamara website changeover and lack of customer support I have had my concerns. So far everything has been good for me. Both my cruises are visible when I sign on and show correct cabin etc. For our upcoming cruise in January, final payment is due this month. I wanted to book two excursions using my OBC which does not show the amount on my booking. On Tuesday July 4, I sent a help request on the website about booking a few excursions using my OBC. I got a response that day. By Wednesday the Azamara representative who received the request had booked my excursions correctly using my OBC. I am pretty impressed. All reactions: 11
  13. we had AirTags in the suitcases and also took photos of our luggage. Four people with four suitcases. We flew from ATL to JFK to AMS. To OSL to Longyearbyen. My suitcase stayed in Amsterdam. In Oslo I had the AirTag showing exactly what terminal my suitcase was at. Went to lost luggage with that info and the photo on my phone of my suitcase. It was on the next flight to Oslo. Worked great.
  14. I sent a request to Azamara via the website portal about using my OBC. Within 15 minutes on a national holiday (July 4th) I got the following response. Hello, Thank you for reaching out to Azamara Support I took a look at your booking and it looks like you have a total of $XXXX.00 in OBC before boarding. All you need to do is check the box saying you would like to apply OBC to your excursions. Once done if you would like to double check your excursions you can send a reply to this email with your chosen excursions and I will apply your OBC to them. Have a wonderful day! 15. I only have one Oceania cruise booked and have been tracking the price since I booked. It is now showing the "Introducing the Simply More" offer. The price is exactly the same. To me - it seems like the offer is more in line with Azamara than the luxury lines.
  16. We have stayed in Oceania Suites on deck 11 stern on two occasions. In New York our requested six bottles of alcohol/wine were waiting for us. In Tahiti, they were brought to our suite after departure. If Oceania suite amenities have not changed, save a little extra room in your suitcase for the included Oceania swag. Also, we did the cooking class and both my husband and I enjoyed it very much.
  17. The regular excursions had about 30-35. We like to book the OE that have 16 or fewer. We take advantage of the three each included (O Life choice benefit) and then the 25% discount for booking more than five excursions.
  18. I just want to put in my two cents worth regarding O's excursions. We have only taken two cruises with Oceania and booked several excursions with the cruise line. They were all very good. We also booked a few with other passengers that we met pre-cruise on Cruise Critic that were also very good. And we have rented cars in some ports. All in all, I felt we got good value for the Oceania excursions.
  19. The trip I did was 18 night (1 night in Buenos Aires, R/T flight to Ushuaia, 17 nights onboard the Roald Amundsen). The $5900 ($7200 on the USA website) for February 2024 is 12 days/11 nights from Buenos Aires in a ocean view cabin. Includes one night in Buenos Aires, R/T airfare to Ushuaia. Four days of landings in Antarctica. There are a few extras if you choose to do them like kayaking, camping on Antarctica, special photo safari. You sign up for them and then there is a lottery. You only pay if you are chosen. Each day consists of one landing and one zodiac tour. It is NOT like a traditional cruise. No shows, no casino, etc. But there is lots to do and soooo many photo opportunities. It does include all meals on board the ship, wine and beer with lunch and dinner. You get an expedition jacket that you wear when you get off the ship. They lend you boots that you have to wear when getting off the ship in Antarctica. There are some social things you can do such as crafts (free) and photo talks. They also have groups that do actual research, and the guests are chosen for those by lottery. If your main goal is to see penguins, you can do a "South American" cruise from Chile to Argentina. We did that cruise a few years before Antarctica and did three excursions and saw four different types of penguins. Lots of them.
  20. We went with Hurtigruten January 2023. I looked at the US website and chose the trip and date we wanted to travel. Then I went to the hurtigruten.no website and looked at the same trip with the Norwegian price. I did the currency equivalent in USD. Then I called the Seattle office to see if they would match the price. They did! In February the prices on the Roald Amundsen for a 12 night start at about $5900 on the Norwegian site. It was an absolutely fabulous trip which started in Buenos Aires Argentina. Hurtigruten flew us to Ushuaia where the cruises started and ended. (The Drake was rough.) This was a trip that was canceled five times before we actually got to go - thanks alot Covid.
  21. I pack in either a 26" or 30" spinner. I do try to keep the suitcase outbound weight to 42ish pounds. (Always heavier on the return flights.) I also have a 16" thin spinner carryon as well as a small backpack/purse. My husband has the same except a camera bag instead of a purse. I pack our clothing in cubes so that they are easy to find. If you are worried about lost luggage, invest in a tracker and take a photo with your phone of your suitcase. In August of 2022 on a flight from Amsterdam to Oslo, upon arrival, my suitcase was still on the tarmac in Amsterdam. I showed the lost luggage agent my phone showing the tracked suitcase and a photo of what it looked like. They were able to find it immediately and had it on the next flight which arrived before our next flight departed. (Delta/KLM.) I was very thankful as we were on our way to Svalbard and I needed my warm winter clothes. When packing, keep in mind that several European countries do not sell what we consider over-the-counter medicines without a doctor's orders. Bring a little of everything you may need.
  22. I am also new to Azamara, having just booked two cruises with them. This is the stated policy on their website for USA. Cruise Payment & Cancellation Terms | Azamara Cruises I booked through a website travel agency and they are actually requiring final payment a few weeks before Azamara, which is fine with me.
  23. Since this website problem began I have booked two new cruises. We are new to Azamara. My TA had to create a new password for themself. They have had no problem with booking or getting answers from Azamara. I had to get a new password also to be able to access my new bookings. (I already had an account)
  24. Oceania - 5% of cruise fare plus $200. It varies for the different cruise lines booked through them. We also book top suites, so lots of OBC - some of which, if you don't spend it, the cruise lines gives you cash on the last night. Some of the other cruise lines, they give 10%
