  1. ^^ correction to my earlier post.. it’s now one bottle per person. Before anyone calls me out on this!
  2. * There will be a sale around 4/7 … if you buy now and the price drops then, you can cancel and rebook. * Yes there are fridges (and kettles) on cruises from Southampton. * Yes your 18 yr old will be able to drink ( so he will probably smash the package lol). * You can bring on 2 bottles per cabin, and they never charge corkage. If they say they will just take bottle back to cabin, open it and pour yourself a glass and walk into dining room with it! * Strictly no sharing of packages allowed and if one in the cabin buys the package, then all in cabin must have package. Perhaps rearrange the sleeping arrangements to put the heavy drinkers in same cabin ( on paper at least) *You can buy the package a few days into the cruise… I know many people “overdo” it on the first day and then slow down! Especially with a lot of port intensive days. Coming back on at 6pm then “having” to do 6-7 drinks to get your monies worth when you’re exhausted isn’t worth it.
  3. Pisa is very overrated. Go to Florence. Get off the ship and get on your way asap as it’s a long way https://global.flixbus.com/bus-routes/bus-florence-la-spezia
  4. Thanks: had no idea the Ravenna to Bologna train 🚂 was crowded! We will also go directly to Bologna! Cheers for the tip!
  5. I imagine they may run a couple of shuttles based on demand. I’d guess at 8:30 departure? They cost $30pp and the journey time to Bologna is about an hour.

  7. I have used bagsngo several times in Barcelona. They have a stand right by where you collect your luggage off the carousel when disembarking the ship. Barcelona Locker + Luggage Delivery - Book Now - 24/7 Service (bagsandgo.com) Allow time to collect the luggage at the airport. And make sure it is delivered to the correct terminal as they are spread out!
  8. All countries where RCI sail from ….🤷‍♀️
  9. Yes there definitely was a waiver, as you say about 15 years ago. All countries allow 18 yr olds to drink apart from the USA 🤷‍♀️
  10. The first view of that iconic skyline as you round Middle Head. Priceless.
  11. The number of water bottles actually delivered seems to vary a lot in our experience.
  12. I have 1. Chandon 2. Chandon 3. Red Zinfandel I emailed to confirm that I would get #1 on my recent 5n cruise; received email confirmation that it would be…. And of course we received #3 !!! 🤔🤷‍♀️
  13. I have seen some amazing last minute deals for Infinity out of Athens for the first few months of this year.
  14. I really don’t think they open up bookings to the Americans first so they can book their entertainment, and then open it up other nationalities… there would be uproar !
  15. Same price as me, and yes adding the grats on at the checkout is new 💰
  16. I realised I never did my closing thoughts on cruising from Singapore. It really is a different cultural experience - yes all announcements are in English first but you get used to all signage/menus etc being in 2 languages, and many of the menus also include photos of the food. The ship is possibly the most beautiful RCI ship in the fleet. She is stunning and in immaculate condition - she is going for a dry dock in April but she certainly does not need new furnishings! The main demographic onboard is very Oriental Asian - large family groups from Grandma to babies. Their experience of the cruise appears to cram as much in as possible - we joked that they saw the Cruise Compass as a 'to do list'... shows etc were always packed. The ship is lacking in bars - on deck 4 there is no pub, there is no bar in the Boleros area and the Music Hall bar upstairs is much smaller because the whole area behind the bar (where the pool tables and the high window tables usually are) do not exist as that area is boxed off as a high rollers casino area. The westerners congregated in Schooner Bar or Vintages. The specialty restaurants are expensive and when we ate in Sichuan Red we were the only table apart from the Captain! There is no Solarium buffet so the WJ was always very busy as was 270 cafe. The large groups used to command any available space to eat near 270 including the Next Cruise desks! The Gold area is very nice but it is disappointing that the menu never changes. We actually preferred the Silver area - but again no bar - the waiters had to go outside - navigate the red rope that cut off the chairs and use the Solarium bar to get our drinks. We found that the staff on board were mostly Chinese, very enthusiastic but their command of English was not the best. We did not go to the MDR so cannot comment. The MDR menu was definitely enhanced from the usual offerings though. There were always plenty of chairs around the pools. Having a non smoking casino was heaven. Needless to say it was very busy. I don't know why there was no live band. We would definitely cruise Spectrum again but only on a longer cruise which attracts more westerners.
  17. Is 150CP included in the 3n dining package please (Oasis) I can see that Izumi Teppanyaki is included with a $15pp surcharge onboard
  18. You can get your morning coffee from the Diamond lounge ?
  19. I wonder ( doubt) whether it would be able to cope with the £$ credit ? 🤷‍♀️
  20. Glad to hear you found the room! Let me know your thoughts on the ship !
  21. My hair loves the all in one Salt + Breeze gloop… looked better and bouncier when I use it ! 🤷‍♀️.
