  1. We roll up pool towels and stick them in front of the night stand to block the sensor and a couple of bandaids or painters tape on the sensor in front of bathroom door. as for outlets, you will have an outlet at the desk - bring a multi plug or a power strip ( with no surge protector).
  2. The system doesn’t care which of your devices you use as long as only one at a time is logged in. For example if you are using your phone and then go to log in with your iPad it will ask you if you want to log off the device that’s currently connected ( your phone) and switch to the new device ( the iPad).
  3. Giving the ship number for emergencies is a good back up plan, if nothing else it gives peace of mind. FaceTime, WhatsApp and WiFi calling are all good options when the internet signal strength is good. Texting is also a good option for communication.
  4. As @Steelers36 says they will accommodate, we did it with our kids many times when they were about the same age as OP mentions. Additionally, you can ask to have your Medallion set up so it opens your cabin door and the kids door as well.
  5. We have put our 26 inch suitcases through the scanners with no problem at all on a couple of occasions. the bigger issue is trying to get an elevator with suitcases. Elevators the first day are very busy!
  6. Here are some ideas: 1) order flowers for your cabin 2) specialty dinners 3) camera, go pro, binoculars, Good Spirts barware, Medallion holders from the photo gallery 4) Casino play. Load whatever amount of OBC you want onto your medallion for casino play ( you can use it at the tables and slots) throughout your cruise and then remember to cash out on the day before the cruise ends. 5) upgrade to Premier 6) order lobster or steak in the main dining room for an up charge 7) stock up on holiday gifts or treats for yourself ( perfume, coach purses, watches, tanzanite earrings) 8) purchase alcohol - this will be held until the end of your cruise 9) spa treatments / enclave/ thermal suite 10) Sanctuary 11) bingo 12) excursions
  7. Typically you can refare your cruise up without issue until final payment. Although some promotions are for new bookings only. I would ask the person you booked with for clarification and if they say you can’t refare after deposit ask if it’s their agency policy ( not Princess policy). If they do say you can’t refare after deposit you may want to have your booking transferred to a different TA ( you have 60 days to transfer a booking).
  8. Agree with everything @antmaril has said above, I would also add the bungalows typically sell out. If you want one book asap,
  9. Correct EZAir tickets the air 45-30 days prior to flight but you ( or your TA) can request early ticketing. This will require payment in full on the air and you will not be able to make any further changes without paying an applicable fees, to request early ticketing log into your Cruise Personalizer and go to the travel icon and select manage flights. You will see the option to request early ticketing.
  10. Try clearing your browser history and/or using a different search engine.
  11. The price is the same whether you buy in advance or purchase the first day.
  12. This is done in the MedallionClass app. under Dine My Way.
  13. As long as you are traveling with them they will be allowed in their own cabin. You will want Princess to indicate on the bookings that you are traveling with each other - the rep will add a “Traveling With ID” code to both your bookings (TWID for short).
  14. Here is my understanding based on a recent communication from Princess to TAs: Princess is charging the $10 shipping for medallion orders placed after Feb 20 which is when the new higher priced Princess Plus went into effect. At the time order is fulfilled Princess will check to see if the person has “old plus” or “new plus” and if they had the “new plus” the $10 fee is not processed if they booked under the “old plus” then they will be charged.
  15. The Princess FAQ stateroom smoking policy specifically says vaping in cabins is not allowed 😄https://www.princess.com/learn/faq/onboard/onboard-experience/
  16. The new lights are terrible… we put rolled up pool towels in front of the night stands and bandaids over the sensor for the one in front of the bathroom door.
  17. Great advice to always check the safe and lift up the liner… on a recent cruse I found someone photos under the liner. And not exactly IN the safe but on the shelf right under it someone had left a shelf full of clothing, some with tags still on and one of the pockets had cash in it. all items and cash where turned in of course, but it’s a good reminder to always check the safe and closet before you leave.
  18. I meant to do that, or to ask my steward, but simply forgot about it after the first couple of days. thanks to all who offered ideas and all the good hearted fun suggestions. The emergency light seems the most plausible. Thanks everyone!
  19. I am off the ship. I forgot to ask when I was on board.
  20. What was the deciding factor for them to end your isolation? Did you have to wait for a negative test or was it after a certain number of days or just no fever? Did you contact Princess or insurance company for an FCC for the days in isolation and if so have you heard back yet or are you still waiting? Just curious how they are handling things now.
  21. Thanks! I kept meaning to ask our steward but never remembered to do so!
  22. Just off of Crown and there was something plugged into the European socket by the desk. Here’s a photo…it was all I could do not to flip the switch! So what is it? Is it an emergency light, WiFi extender… Any ideas ?
  23. If you go into your Cruise Personalizer and click on the upper right corner where you print luggage tags and travel summary you will find a link to print out your plan or you can try this link for an overview https://www.princess.com/plan/princess-vacation-protection/ in general Princess Standard Insurance will cover 75% of your penalties as a future cruise credit for a non-covered reason ( the passport issue would be “cancel for any reason” ) or up to 100% for qualifying illness. Here’s a link to the applicable page https://affinitytravelcert.com/document/pdfs/PCT_Std_Landing.html if you cancel Princess will refund your taxes, port fees, excursions and any pre-purchased items. You will then file a claim with AON and they will ask for medical documentation and a claims adjuster will determine how the claim is settled ( cash as described in the policy terms or a future cruise credit).
  24. Correct, you must order the 375ml from room service or pre-order.
