Sorry it took so long to get us off the ship. Lots of people were trying to rebook flights. NCL says it was CBP backup. They didn't call the last bag colors until noon. Then it took us until 1:45 to get to a taxi. Hope you have a great cruise 😎

The Joy has issued a couple of Casino Next certificates. I would like to hear from anyone who has had a chance to book with the new certificates.

I'm hearing they will have several events with Jimmy Buffett 'Margaritaville' and Beach Boys type music. Seeing lots of people in floral shirts🌺

It should be great fun. There's a big group of 'LandShark' cruisers on board. I expect a lot of Jimmy Buffet Parrot head music 🦜😎🦜

This new norm makes for a crowded terminal. Lots of people without a seat and grumpy🤨 Boarding started about noon.

Hopefully our disembark in 12 days will be smoother. One more day on your cruise? Enjoy 😊

Does anyone know why Joy is so late disembarking today? It's past 11am and we are sitting in Miami terminal watching a good number of people still walking off the ship.

No rush I'm sitting in the terminal looking at the Joy. They are still disembarking at 10:20. I can see some passengers still standing on their balcony apparently in no hurry to leave. May take awhile to clear the ship.....sigh...🤨

I had several cruises booked with free DSC offered ny NCL but they were cancelled during the shutdown. Since cruises started again I have watched but haven't seen NCL offer again. Another favorite promo they haven't had for years is the Tax-free (port fees). Miss those special promos...

Some info in posts 31 and 36 above. I've also seen mention in some other threads . Every mention I've heard has been from someone earning 5k or 10k or more in a cruise. On my cruise over NYears I earned over 10k and nothing mentioned by host. The Exec Host spoke with us every day and never talked about it. (She did send lots of treats though) 😊

I was on a cruise over New Years and it wasn't offered on that one. I believe it started on some ships in January. Perhaps for cruises that boarded in January?

Yes, there are only so many watches you can buy. CasNext certs are sounding good to me. I've heard it's a one year limit to use them and I've just used up my supply of Cruise next.

That is a very good question. I hope someone here can tell us Land based casinos will end your playing day at something like 2am or 6am. Does CAS run on Florida ET🤔

Yes it does sound like a great deal. I don't know if carryover points will qualify but that would be good to ask the host on the first day. As Ruby tier I start each cruise with 400 obc then on last evening host gives me more based on play. (Not easy to spend another three or four hundred last day😏). I would much rather get 500 off next cruises admin fees & port charges!

New program that I'm hoping to try on our upcoming cruise. From what I understand it is like CN but can't be used with CN. You earn one 250 cert for 5000 tier earned on cruise. One person reported earning over 10k tier and being offered two 250 cert plus some obc by host. You can apply two certs for a booking that qualifies for Doubleup. Do not convert your tier points to Freeplay if you want the certs.

Yes! When we are with the masses, there is no easy disembarkation even with Latitudes status. Easy special elevator disembarkation is perhaps my favorite Haven perk.

It is hard for us to think of things to ask our butler for too! However, a good butler will find ways to do things for you anyway😉 Our first butler experience (many years ago), we didn't meet our butler until the 3rd or 4th day. Needless to say, we didn't really use him and got by fine without him. (But loved the Concierge!) Our last butler found ways to do things for us even though we hadn't asked. He was a sweet guy and we enjoyed the experience so much more. We never asked for dinner in our room, but he did insist on escorting us to a specialty dinner one night. Loved that express trip in the elevator! My DH loved that he kept the M&Ms and gummy bear bowels full☺️ We generally cruise in Club Balconies but have now learned how to enjoy a Haven cruise. (Love the Haven restaurant!) We are about to leave for a 12 Day Club Balcony and expect to have a great time. However, our next cruise after that will be a 7 day Haven. Will it be our last Haven? Maybe or maybe not.....

Sometimes I use my OBC to purchase the 'Soda' package after I board. Much cheaper than the 20% on the Beverage Pkgs. Then I can get all of the cold caffeine I want at any bar or restaurant. As for cans of Coke, not sure of the cost. However, if you happen to be on a cruise booked through Casinos At Sea (comped or discounted thru CAS), you can get free cans of soda at the casino bar when it is open. There would be a 'free drinks while playing' card waiting for you in your cabin. Same card gets you free water cartons or 'well drinks' (or better.) We just get cans from the casino bar to take to our room.

My DH (your era) grew up in a extremely small rural town so it was truly only peanuts for a nickel😁 He saw much more of the world when the draft sent him to Vietnam. I'm a decade behind him and lived in a slightly larger town (with one stoplight), but I was extremely naïve about the world when we married. (He still has to explain some things I don't understand in movies....)
