  1. Has anyone stayed at the Best Western Cocoa Beach? I've read some good reviews. Sounds like it's walkable to beach and close to restaurants.
  2. Just checked out the Best Western Cocoa Beach. Prices aren't bad and area seem nice. Has anyone stayed here?
  3. Radisson Country Inn & Suites has a good Military/Veteran rate if that might apply for you. Very close to terminal. We are keeping the rental car to drive the few miles to Cocoa Beach, etc. Then will drop rental at PC morning of embarkation.
  4. Would love to know if it discounts the Admin Fee, or if it is just a discount on upgrade???
  5. Can we make it? We booked a 10:30am shuttle for our late afternoon flight out of MCO. However, airline has now changed us to a 1:00pm flight. We have TSA pre-check, but I'm worried that might still be tight. (One shuttle company was already booked up for our May cruise! Luckily got a 10:30am shuttle with another company.)
  6. Loving your review and the great pics! So sweet for someone to give your little guy that cute duck which I'm sure helped him get through the muster. Good luck in the casino! Hope you have some great wins and then let us all know which machines are hot☺️
  7. If you charge funds to your room, there is a 3% convenience charge. However, we have a credit card that gives 3% back on travel expenses. (It rolls up on your onboard bill with all of your other charges and shows up as a 'purchase'. Does not count as a 'cash advance'.) This way, we don't have to carry much cash when we travel. Also, if you play enough in the casino to reach certain tiers they refund your 3% convenience fees at the end of the cruise. (Sapphire, Ruby & Elite tiers.) Win-win for us😎 Here is a link to the information about Cash/Credit access and Players Club benefits: https://www.ncl.com/why-cruise-norwegian/casino-cruise/players-club
  8. We dragged our sons to see a traveling Beatles "Rain" group a few years ago. Told them this is classic music they needed to hear. They loved the concert and we all had a great time. Looking forward to our 12 days on Joy. Good songs and live music are always fun☺️
  9. Thank you for sharing your review with us! We had a great Club Balcony (starboard deck 11) on our Prima cruise. Loved the ship, and yes, it's very different from other NCL ships. Thanks for the details on how much is expected of our room stewards now! For us, getting our room serviced once in early afternoon will be fine. However, will definitely be planning to provide a little extra 'Thanks$$' to a hard-working steward. Loved Indulge food hall and like you recommended in our post cruise interview that they keep it open for longer hours at lunch. Some hiccups, but all-in-all loved the Prima. As soon as we got home we searched for another great cruise on Prima and have it booked for for April 2024😎
  10. I hope that's just a nasty rumor😒. Beatles in the Cavern club is still showing on our April reservation. Hopefully, someone currently cruising or about to cruise on Joy can report back to us.
  11. I think this was the name of my favorite there! It was a cinnamon puffed corn treat in a bag that was delicious😋 Also enjoyed choosing flavors from the fudge counter. Only stopped there once, but looking forward to another visit😊
  12. Do you need to have booked the cruise with the Military discount to get the pins? (Just signed up DH, but our cruises are comped through CAS.)
  13. Ink48 looks very interesting. Love the rooftop bar and very close to Pier 88 cruiseport. Has anyone stayed there?
  14. I really appreciate what you have shared with us! I'm sure we will all learn more when someone on this board uses those CasinoNext certificates to book their next cruise.
  15. Does use in 1 year mean book in next year, or complete cruise in next year? (When we got our one-time Diamond upgrade, they let us book within a year but we could use it on a cruise over a year out.) Sorry for all the questions! Thank you for informing us😊
  16. I am anxiously awaiting your cruise too! Can't wait to hear what they offer an Elite cruiser🤔 (I've always wondering if my $400 Ruby OBC is taken into account when they figure out our on board comps or when CAS offers us a comped cruise?) On the NCL forum, another cruiser is reporting they were offered a choice of $500 in CasinoNext or $400 OBC. Also, the OP was able to get $500 in CasinoNext plus a little more in OBC.
  17. Interesting! If we can get a combination of CasinoNext plus OBC that could be helpful for those of us who start out the cruise with a nice amount of OBC.
  18. Thanks for sharing this info! I wonder if they limit how many you can use per cruise? (For CruiseNext you can only use two for balcony and above, etc.) Also, Can you use CasinoNext, PLUS CruiseNext?
  19. Good question- might be great for someone who doesn't get comped cruises, but not helpful for many of us.
  20. Did they give you something that shows 'Terms & Conditions'? The 'rumor' on another forum was that they had to be booked & used within a year. That would be difficult for those of us who have several cruises already on the books.
  21. I had a decent Monte Cristo in the MDR for lunch on Breakaway. I think they have two different MDR lunch menus and this was on the 2nd menu on first sea day.
  22. Looked at car service, but $110 for two of us seemed kinda crazy🤔 For two of us, the shuttle for $30 each sounds OK.
  23. We are looking at one of these two, or possibly Ink48. All look like we could roll our luggage to the port. Have you walked to Terminal 88 port before? Do you have a preference on hotel? Any information or advice is appreciated😊
  24. Hmm, just double-checked and that is the email that worked me about 6 months ago. I wonder if it went to her spam and she missed it?
  25. Trying to figure out best shuttle company for our first disembarkation from PC back to Orlando MCO. Our NCL ship will disembark the same day as one Disney and two Carnival ships. Our flight is later in the afternoon so no rush to get off ship. (Of course, they need to clear the ship but we won't be in the earliest groups off.) Researching here, I've narrowed our choice down to: Cortrans, Cruise Control or GoPort. It looks like Cortrans and Cruise Control are the 10-12 passenger buses while GoPort uses a full size bus. I like the idea of the smaller bus, but does anyone prefer the full size bus (and why?). Would appreciate any advice and recommendations from your experience with any of these shuttle companies.
