  1. Great! I'm hoping they still have them on our next Prima cruise.....just 11 months or so to wait😋
  2. Very much enjoyed your first post and looking forward to more! If you can, will you see if The Local still has the complimentary Hot Fudge sundae? I was hoping other ships would add it, but haven't seen it since our Prima cruise.
  3. As we will be cruising in Getaway's Haven soon, looking forward to your thoughts on the experience. Thanks for sharing with us😊
  4. I would also suggest you book a cruise on the Joy. I don't recall ever seeing this on other ships, but the Mojito bar on the Joy has a bandstand & dancefloor. Several nights there was some great music & dancing in there.
  5. We remember those days! DH had his Tux, and I had a beaded evening gown. So much to pack and bring along, and ......it was before our luggage had wheels😱
  6. Thanks @ggTexasGal That is a great list! When we were last in the Haven, I asked the bartender to make me an Emperor's Nectar (as on your list), but he didn't have all the ingredients. He came close though! I loved another drink that WAS at Food Republic. I believe it was called Revolutionary Cure. Wish I knew the the ingredients for that one🤔
  7. I hope you enjoy it! It was excellent on the Bliss. Of course, they would probably give you a nice tasting portion alongside your regular lunch🤔
  8. Out of over 40 NCL cruises, we are about to go on our 3rd in Haven. From our experiences on past Haven cruises, we declined the extra specialty dining package as we know we will want to have most meals in the Haven. (We do have two latitudes meals to use.) Of course, we will sneak down to O'Sheehan's for a Reuben! Our first Haven dinner I will have my favorite Surf & Surf of Crab Cake & Lobster😋 DH will order a shrimp cocktail (off menu but available). They are happy to mix & match your dinner from anything they have available. I have to say, while not a vegetarian, I absolutely love the lunch Spaghetti Squash with a craveable Chunky Tomato sauce. Extremely tasty and it makes me feel better about all the other things I'm eating that week.
  9. You do need to talk to the Hosts on the last night of your cruise in order to utilize any comps you have earned. If you want to be issued CasinoNext certificates, do not 'play' your earned tier points. 5000 tier for $250 CasinoNext 10,000 tier for $500 Casino Next They print you out a page for each certificate that is signed by a Host and includes your issue date & latitudes number. It does appear to take a few days after you return for CAS to 'see' your CASNEXT on your account. (I couldn't see mine on MyNCL, but CAS could a few days after cruise) The Joy in April had an Exec, Senior, and two other hosts. Four hosts, someone always available when casino was open. Very friendly & helpful CAS desk😎
  10. Yes, and our airlines moved us from a cancelled 5pm flight to a 1pm flight😱 I'm hoping our TSA pre-check status will help us at MCO. Anyone know how TSA lines are at MCO on Saturday mornings/midday?
  11. Hmmm...how about TSA pre-check? Will it be long lines at mid-day on a Saturday? Any advice?
  12. Yes! I would think they could let us check our preferences online. Surely a computer system could allow this? If they want to reward their higher tiers, let us choose from a list of relatively inexpensive items that can be delivered to our room. Extra cartons of water should be easy enough. And, if they really want to make me happy, we would LOVE a 6pack of Diet Coke in our cabin🤞
  13. We agree with @The Traveling Man about the Sail & Sustain Mixology experience for Diamond & Ambassador. This is an awesome perk that you can enjoy on each cruise. We just returned a couple of weeks ago from a Joy cruise and had another extremely fun Mixology experience. I believe they said there were 10 or 11 Diamond level on board and 7 of us showed up. (No Ambassadors, but one couple was close!) So enjoyable to have a drink (or several) with a group of fellow Diamonds. We talked about favorite cruises, ports & ships while enjoying some interesting drinks. It was held at the outdoor Mojito bar. A little too much to drink at mid-day, but hey....we were on vacation😎
  14. We loved staying at the Tremont for two days pre-cruise. Easy to walk all over the Strand area. Also, we found it easy to roll our bags over to the port and we have been retired for a few years. (We did see a shuttle leaving from the Tremont, so you could check with them if you require a shuttle.)
  15. You have brought back some strong memories for my DH 🤭 He recalls the Love Bug infestation while he was attending Brevard Jr College in Cocoa Beach after Viet Nam. He said people covered their cars with baby oil to help with the clean-up. Thanks for the rental return info!
  16. That makes sense, thanks for letting us know! We had been thinking of dropping the car at 9am but will need to re-think that plan🤔 Was there a place to wait at the rental agency? Restrooms?
  17. Does anyone know when the Terminal usually opens for arriving passengers? (We are fortunate be in Getaway's Haven for this sailing😊) We will need to return our rental car to Enterprise at the port. With three ships in port that day, we would rather return our car at an earlier time, catch the rental car shuttle and possibly arrive early to the terminal. We realize that actual boarding time depends on the ship clearing.
  18. We will be staying in Cocoa Beach pre-cruise and will return our rental car to Enterprise at the port prior to our Saturday May 20th cruise. There will be three ships in port: Disney Fantasy, Norwegian Getaway & RCL Mariner. As it's our first sailing from PC, can anyone advise us if there could be heavy traffic? We would like to drop our rental car at the port at an early time (to avoid long wait) before taking their shuttle to our terminal. Any advice greatly appreciated😊
  19. After boarding, look for the venue where they are selling carton water packages and beverage package upgrades. On the larger ships this has usually been the comedy club close to where they are helping you with dining reservations. I've also been told that any bar can sign you up for it. I recall once signing up for it at the bar in the atrium. After signing up, take the receipt they give you and go to the guest services desk to get your new card printed.
  20. Yes After boarding, you can purchase the Soda package individually. After purchasing, you then go to Guest Services and have them print you a new card with 'SODA' on it.
  21. Yes- That was what I was trying to explain above. I cruise with NCL about 4 times a year. I always purchase the Soda package for one after we board. My spouse shares my cabin, but is not required to purchase the package.
  22. We loved our stay at the Marriott Waterfront. Yes, pricey, but well worth it for us. We were able to roll our luggage across the street to the port for a very easy check-in. Traffic is a mess on embarkation days. Walking across the street was stress-free.
  23. Yes! We watched for these and enjoyed several 'themed' lunches at Moderno on the Breakaway. They also had a lighter breakfast buffet there some days. Much less crowded than the buffet.
  24. We have a lot of OBC to use. After boarding, I use the non-refundable OBC to purchase the soda package for myself as my husband doesn't drink much soda. After purchasing, you need to go to guest services to have the room card reprinted with 'SODA'. When you go by any bar after that you can order one or two sodas at a time. They just glance at the card....no need to swipe.
