  1. It's one night's worth of points according to the category booked. Example veranda=3points per night so verandah gets an extra 3 points. 7 night cruise yields 24 instead of 21.
  2. We got an email about a month or so before our current sailing but it was also available on the website. I don't recall seeing it on the app, but not sure. We opted in and really don't notice a difference.
  3. No points attached to the offer. If they want us to do marketing for them it would be good faith to offer a benefit at least in the form of PUPs.
  4. From Thanksgiving until Christmas they add decorations each night while most passengers are asleep.
  5. We've done Uber and Lyft. It's really easy and straight forward.
  6. Try exiting the mock booking. At that point the option to make a courtesy hold will pop up.
  7. They were doing US site maintenance last night. I just checked and nothing yet. Most likely they will appear later today 5 minutes after I check.😜
  8. Definitely a goal to be striven for. Make sure you're early to rise and late to bed to allow for maximum opportunity. Cheers!
  9. Once you upgraded your WIFI why would you need "free" minutes? Wouldn't you have already paid for unlimited "free" minutes...ergo not free? I think that my be a result of the famous X IT at work lol.
  10. We find that many TA's, especially the larger ones often have group rates and also often offer additional OBC (with is most often the refundable variety) and or perks that make it significantly less expensive that booking with X directly. In fact the last cruise we booked directly with X was in 2006!
  11. The WIFI perk for Elite is 90 free minutes OR a discount. You can however purchase WIFI on the ship after you use your free minutes and it will be pro-rated for the number of days left. If you opt to use your free minutes, don't forget to log out each time otherwise your free minutes will continue to run even if you're not using the WIFI. If you purchase the WIFI before the cruise there is a pre-cruise discount (and sometimes a sale) and you can call and have them apply your Elite discount.
  12. DH got his renewed passport and passport card in 7 weeks 2 days mailed September 8, 2022.
  13. Frozen Toasted Almond with chocolate swirled around the glass. YUMMY!!!!!
  14. We've used these for years.https://www.amazon.com/LOVIMAG-Magnetic-Hanging-Toolbox-Kitchen/dp/B09MWJNPYY/ref=sr_1_14?crid=29D444TV0HL7M&keywords=magnetic+hooks&qid=1667752113&sprefix=magnetic+hooks%2Caps%2C79&sr=8-14 We also take a piece of twine. We attach two hooks to the shower wall and put the twine between. We use our towel clips as clothespins. Very easy to pack! The other two hooks we use on the cabin walls for hanging whatever. They are very strong and hold up well.
  15. Do you know when Eddy is leaving Equinox? I hope he'll still be on when we sail in December. Last year on Equinox we just missed him and had Shawna who was nice, but added nothing to the cruise experience. If he's leaving could you find out who his replacement will be? TIA
  16. Either yours or my DH was a fluke for sure! His was also not expedited and took 7 weeks 2 days. We live in a suburban area just outside of Philly where it was mailed to. Go figure,🙄
  17. My husband just renewed his passport. He mailed it on September 10 without expedited processing and received the new one on October 31. That's 7 weeks and 2 days. Also check to see if it can be renewed online. They were doing a trial to see how that works which was over when he applied but were going to make the online renewal process a permanent thing since it worked out so well.
  18. Who is the current CD? Do you know when they change?
  19. Each user with the surf wifi can have one device at a time logged in.
  20. My theory is ask. If you don't ask the answer will definitely be no.
  21. Others have already addressed that it is easy to upgrade your drink and WIFI packages on board, but you can also do it before your cruise and only pay the difference by calling Captains Club at 800-760-0654. Don't press any menu prompts and you'll be connected to a person who should be able to do this. You mentioned that you've cruised most other mainstream cruise lines and if you've cruised on Royal Caribbean, your Crown and Anchor membership will be reciprocal to Celebrity's Captains Club up to Elite level (Diamond on Royal). If you don't have a Captains Club number get one and have it applied to your booking.
  22. There were in December of last year.
  23. Thanks all. I did finally find it when I put Heathy at Sea into the search bar. However I wondered whether this was "old news" and the X IT team just hadn't updated or removed it since it was buried so deep. If someone didn't know what to put into the search bar, or hadn't cruised and didn't know to search, or didn't know about Cruise Critic they would be woefully unprepared.
  24. The Healthy Sail banner was previously prominently displayed across the top of the X website, however when I went onto the site today they aren't there. It also didn't seem to be on the site map at the bottom of the screen either. The last I saw cruises lasting 10 nights or longer and departing from US ports required a test (not proctored) but I can't find anything now. All you needed was a printout, picture or the test itself showing a negative result. Has this changed? Where's the latest info and why isn't it prominent anymore?
