  1. Some cruisers are positive that the current experience is less than what X has led them to expect on board and want to share that. It is fact to them and they are sharing that info. Those posts are no less valid than posts praising their time on board and are equally helpful to readers. I for one have been accused of cheerleading and whining. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
  2. Thanks @DaKahuna. Amazon will be making yet another appearance at our door.
  3. I think they also keep some early times open for those who have purchased dining packages as well. We have purchased those and cannot make reservations until we board. We go to a specialty restaurant as soon as we board on embarkation day and haven't had an issue with getting the times we want.
  4. Could not agree more! We've eliminated Tuscan from our to-do list permanently. We decided it's neither a true Italian, nor a true steakhouse restaurant and is more like a mid-level chain restaurant with very inflated pricing for the quality. On M- class we skip specialty dining altogether. The only time we dine in Tuscan is the elite breakfast occasionally for the quiet and the view.
  5. Whichever it is, X tech is dropping the ball...as usual. Always loved our time aboard despite the IT or lack thereof.😜
  6. Happy Anniversary early. We were sailing in March 2020 and had made reservations in Murano for our anniversary. Unfortunately Covid happened and shortened our cruise so we were back home alone on the day of our anniversary. When cruising resumed we did a do-over...in Murano. As always we loved it.
  7. Thanks Jim. I knew that but was hoping there was an easier way and that I was missing it. Happy sails and smooth seas.
  8. I agree, I was just curious about the current offerings. We were cruise shopping and wanted to look at the menus. The current menu changes are unacceptable and not what we're used to from X.
  9. I guess I knew the answer considering the consistent state of X's IT dept. I was hoping I was wrong. Thanks.
  10. Thanks, that's what I suspected. I knew I could change the sailing date to see a menu, but it's a pain lol. I was hoping I was missing something obvious without changing the sail date/ship.
  11. Recently, the menus for dinner in the MDR only show the desserts on a cruise for next year. I tried uninstall/reinstall to no avail. Anyone have a workaround other than looking at a current sailing?
  12. A travel router is an awesome idea. Would you share the brand and source to purchase one? TIA I use the VPN all the time at hotels and when linking to public WiFi, but had difficulty onboard X ships in the past.
  13. Would you mind sharing which lines? I'm very sensitive and am considering other options if this becomes the new norm. TIA
  14. With x% off and prices increased by a $gazillion!
  15. We got our 1 point each. Retired, so taking a nap.
  16. If in January you bought tickets to see The Boss, but in August you could only stay for the first 1/2....😜.....lol...Enjoy!
  17. Looking at the current pricing, they only need 1/2 the customers to make the same money. Our cruise with them is still 7 months away and selling for over 200% of the fare. Good luck to them.
  18. The problem is that at the same time as they are hiking the prices, they are watering down the product offering. It is no longer the elevated product that they've been known to provide. Price raises alone do not make a premium cruise line (or even an upper end mid range line). Cutting one thing here or there, okay but cutting lots of things, charging more for lots of things, at the same time as charging a lot more for the cruise fare seems foolhardy. I guess time will tell. We've enjoyed our X cruises in the past. While none of the cuts alone will send us elsewhere, the many little cuts, combined with the many extra charges for things once included, along with the fact that if we booked the identical prime Aqua class cabin and identical add ons for our currently booked 2024 cruise today, it would cost us $4350 over what we paid when we booked it in January. It would also have much less OBC credit. Before booking another X cruise we will be looking at many other options.
  19. Unless you are staying in a suite, Luminae isn't an option. It is the dining room for suite guests. If you are, and are underwhelmed by the menu on your anniversary night, I'd definitely choose Murano. Also, you might want to clue the maitre d into the fact that it's your 25th. They will likely bring out a special yummy rich chocolate cake as an additional dessert. They did that for us on our special anniversary. I'd definitely suggest the Lobster Murano, or Chateaubriand (or they've done both for us). The Crepes Balon Rouge is an outstanding choice for dessert as well as the Grand Marnier Souffle.
  20. Maybe. However we booked an Aqua cabin in January AI, refundable, lots of OBC. Today booking identical category, same inclusions refundable with less OBC and tons of cabin availability it more than 2x the price per person. Comparing apples to apples.
  21. Exactly. It is now far less expensive to book a balcony and specialty dining for every night of the cruise than to book Aqua. Makes NO sense.🙄
  22. It's even more ridiculous. Our AQ cabin is now booking for 3x the price we paid with identical add ons and less OBC. Still tons of available cabins in all categories. We'll no longer be looking only at X when booking future cruises. There's lots of other options for vacations.
