  3. Perfect timing to comment on my situation. I'll be sailing on MS Rotterdam in May and I have purchased the Quench Beverage Package, as we don't drink alcohol. When I inquired about non-alcoholic wines or beers included in this package, Ship Services replied as follows: Good Day, Unfortunately, none of the non alcoholic wines or beers are included in the Quench package. The Quench Package illustrative photo clearly shows a Heineken 0.0 bottle. I think it's almost impossible to know what exactly is included in each package...

  5. You should be able to use the machines with ANY package. This is, for example, the official description of the Elite Signature Beverage Package on my planner (I think it needs an update, because the Rotterdam also has Freestyle machines): Our premium, Elite Beverage Package allows you to select from a variety of wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, sodas, bottled water (sparkling or still, 400ml or less) & coffee. Only on the ms Koningsdam & ms Nieuw Statendam, the package includes Freestyle Coca-Cola which provides 100+ refreshing Coca-Cola flavors to choose from. Includes any beverage priced at $15.00 or lower (up to 15 beverages per day). Prices are per day at $49.95 if pre-booked online compared to $59.95 if purchased on board. A 18% service charge will be automatically applied to your purchase. The Elite Beverage Package must be purchased for the entire duration of the voyage. All adults over 21 years old booked in the same stateroom must also purchase the package. Excludes Mini Bar, Juices at Gelato, Room Service, beverages on Half Moon Cay, Freestyle Coca-Cola and any self-service draft beer. Packages are non-transferable or refundable. No sharing is permitted. Participants may order only one drink at a time and must be 21 years or older. Beverage Management reserves the right to evoke the package if misused and reserves the right to refuse service for any reason, including refusing service of alcoholic beverages to intoxicated guests.

  9. Can't UK residents book through Celebrity's US website? I am from Argentina and I get the same prices that US residents get. My next cruise was booked directly through Celebrity's US website. The same applied in my previous cruises with Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and HAL (all of them were booked directly, except for one, which was booked through a US travel agent, but also at the same price).

  11. I know that I should purchase my Flåm Railway tickets in advance cause they sell out quickly. Does the same apply to the bus to the Stegastein Viewpoint? My point is that if there is bad weather/fog, I don't think the Stegastein Viewpoint will be worth it and I would rather purchase those tickets the same day on site.
  12. Yes, I've read it. But my reasoning is that a company of Celebrity's size should have carefully segmented marketing campaigns so as not to lower the price to customers who have already bought a package, in order not to lose revenue. I see, from what you say, that this is not the case.
  13. Do they usually do those last minute discounts as the travel date approaches? How many days before the departure date? If so, I think I should wait to buy my beverage package.
  14. I'm pretty sure I've seen a "Statement" section or something like that in the Celebrity app (but of course it does not work since I'm not onboard yet). When cruising on HAL, I remember I was able to check my statement in real time and the purchases covered by the package had a $0 amount (that's how I spotted a couple of mistakes and was able to get them corrected by Guest Relations).
  15. Hi! I'll be sailing on Equinox in October. This is going to be my first time sailing on Celebrity. I've got the Zero Proof package and was wondering how the transactions appear in the app when I check my expenses. If I order a drink which is covered by the package, is that charged and then immediately discounted? Or it does not appear at all? Thanks!

  17. Were you able to identify other cruise passengers during your time there? I mean, should I rush out to the resort to secure a spot? I was planning to eat breakfast at my own pace, then disembark and head for the resort.

  19. Newbie question. The available cabin must be in your class or in your DESIRED class (if you want to change and reprice at the same time)? For example: I have a Veranda for $1,300 per person with a refundable deposit. Then (always inside my final payment date) I see an Ocean View for $500 per person with a NON refundable deposit and I'm willing to change. Let's suppose there are no more Verandas available. Can I change to Ocean View and NRD?
  20. Last monday I booked a cruise by phone with a refundable deposit, but when I received the confirmation it clearly stated that it was booked with a NON refundable deposit. I called back a few minutes later, and the new agent said that she should cancel the booking and create a new one (so I paid a new deposit for this new booking). I started checking my credit card account every day and the refund for the canceled booking appeared today (so it took almost a week).
