  1. I don't believe so since the cruises had to happen prior to the end of 2022.
  2. I don't know, but not being able to access work materials wouldn't make me unhappy at all
  3. Onboard experience is almost back to normal other than the constant stress of being thrown in covid jail
  4. Testing also costs RC money. They pay for 2 tests for unvaccinated people. They pay for tests for symptomatic people on board. They are on the hook to refund your money if you test positive before a cruise. They are on the hook (at least for a little while longer) to reimburse those who test positive on board.
  5. I was on Serenade 2 weeks ago and that cruise dropped by almost 50% in the year I had the reservation
  6. Because they probably have like 5 people scouring over thousands of vax cards. There's a of stuff to stress about prior to a cruise these days. But don't let this issue be one of them.
  7. We're not there yet but pretty close. They won't be able to get back to pre-covid levels until they no longer have to set aside covid jail rooms
  8. There aren't many (any?) countries left that RC serves (talking specific to the Caribbean) that require a negative test to enter. Even fewer that require that of a cruise passenger.

  10. I can't answer that, but who they are now may not be who they are in September.
  11. On the flip side, I enjoyed it, but was glad I only paid $79pp. Any more than that and it's way overpriced.
  12. Countries are dropping testing requirements left and right. The cruise lines want testing requirements gone. It'll happen sooner rather than later.
  13. Correct. Unlimited drinks in the lounge, use your vouchers outside the lounge.
  14. We started cruising with kids shortly after that policy was changed. Man we got a lot of dirty looks at first when we trotted a 3 yr old in there.
  15. My voucher drinks tend to show up pretty fast on my folio.
  16. A few cruises went there multiple days early on in the restart. But none do now. There are a few that do Coco Cay and Labadee

  18. They're a cheaper, non-claustrophobic alternative to ocean view cabins. That's really about it.
  19. Everyone has a different definition of what crowded means. I've never felt crowded on a cruise ship even when sailing over 100% capacity. And I'm someone who doesn't like crowds
  20. Your simplest option is getting tested at the airport.
  21. So then you advocate for testing for every single medical condition that could possibly be spread on a cruise ship right? Because if not, you're being a hypocrite. Pre-cruise testing will go away and people will continue to catch it on ships. Much like they do many other viruses today that no one cares about.
  22. Take the shuttle ($5pp round trip) into town, then behind the gondola building is where Alaska Tales sets up (at least that's where they were for us). They'll call you to make sure you know where to meet them.
  23. Take covid tests with you. If you feel compelled to get tested, take one of the ones you brought. If you test positive, go make a rental car and hotel reservation across the border. Then if you really feel compelled to get tested by the ship's staff, you'll should be allowed to get your rental car and drive across the border.
  24. Chops for breakfast. Light fare for breakfast and lunch in the suite lounge plus finger food during happy hour. Free MDR room service.
  25. Don't worry about how long it takes. It's completely random and may take 3 hours or may take 3 weeks. They're still going to look at the card at the port anyway.
