  1. I wouldn't dare take a test if I didn't have to take a test.
  2. If you use the test result that is emailed to you, that's in UTC, so it doesn't really matter the time.
  3. You must not realize the very strict restrictions crew were under the first 6 months or so of the restart. They STILL can't freely leave the ship in port like they used to be able to.. The crew DID need various personal items and toiletries early on before the Amazon system was set up. It was even worse for the crew on Adventure when she homeported out of Nassau because the crew store was their only option. Hence the thread title "do the crew members still need stuff" Heaven forbid people have a soft spot for the crew and want to help out.
  4. If you think you're going to need snacks, bring your own to save money. But there's so much food available on board.
  5. I don't believe that itinerary has ever been done by RC befoe
  6. Masks and extreme overreaction to cold symptoms.
  7. Also worth noting that constant sanitation actually has a negative net effect as many of the bugs that that actually do get killed with constant lysol-ing are ones you want your immune system to be exposed to.
  8. I'm not sure leaving the house is advisable
  9. Flying to Europe I'd want to fly in 2 days before the cruise.
  10. Maybe rules are different in Canadian waters, but you'd have to be near death to get a medivac by the coast guard. That aside, I think you're seeing more medical diversions lately because thanks to the CDC the cruise lines are paranoid about keeping open beds for covid treatment (even though they're almost never used)
  11. That's not how covid spreads. You're wasting time and stress on that.
  12. Definitely. You can specify this on your reservation, and/or just let your room steward know once you get to your room
  13. You don't *need* a certificate of recovery. It's just an alternative for those who were positive. Just that takes a few more hoops to jump through to get
  14. People who slack on their muster drills are too busy reserving their pool chair for the day then going to the bar
  15. It is a good idea. I mean you board, you go to your muster station immediately (which is a great time killer if you board before rooms are ready) and you're done. Still plenty of time to get your drink on after that
  16. Don't limit yourself to RC tours. There are plenty of reputable tours you can take if you book on your own
  17. When my family took the Binax test no one was watching during the waiting period and after the 15 minutes the rep asked me to tell her what the result of the test was.
  18. RC needs to ditch their kludgy chat app and give access to the various popular messaging apps like several airlines do. You could easily charge $5 per day for that and you wouldn't have to support that clunker of a chat app.
  19. Amazing. If you are sick with a fever, you're welcome to board, just stay in your room until you feel better No "go to covid jail even if you have no symptoms" like for covid.
  20. ILI management reads exactly like covid management should. No precruise testing. No vaccine requirements. No treating anyone who tests positive like they have the plague. Just, "if things get real bad let us know"
  21. case counts are meaningless, especially as many areas continue to insist on testing healthy people (something some countries have stopped doing) The fact that hospitalizations remain near record lows (with many of those not even truly hospitalized for covid) is all that matters.
  22. Walgreens near me has never done antigen tests. Must be an east coast thing
