  1. I have the dining time listed in my app after check in. I know it's wrong (5:30 listed, but I know it's 5pm) but it's still there.
  2. This is a bit of a curveball by RC if you aren't a frequent cruiser or are scouring message boards. I got cruise docs today for a cruise and the time said 5pm. Granted I knew this was going to happen, but still the app shows 5:30. Eventually the app will change to 5pm.
  3. Back to back is just staying on one ship for consecutive cruises. That's a semi-official term with an official process on board in between cruises. Side to side is just an unofficial play on words of sorts to describe the same thing, but when it involves different ships. The concept isn't really recognized by RC (with the exception being if they provide a shuttle to the 2nd ship) and really is treated as completely separate cruises.
  4. Looks like it's been open since January. And it doesn't look all that impressive. At least yet https://www.cruisehive.com/new-caribbean-cruise-port-welcomes-first-ever-guests/120048
  5. Looks like literally a new cruise port. And new everything. https://www.cruisehive.com/norwegian-cruise-line-will-visit-new-dominican-cruise-port/94616
  6. Season 1 was great. By the end of the series, it was terrible
  7. We've quickly pivoted from "I can't believe RC doesn't keep their ships up" to "I can't believe RC is keeping their ships up" pretty quickly.
  8. You should have gotten internet for the day.
  9. Also depends on time of day and the fickleness of the elevator bank you choose.
  10. I qualified for my first block in June 2022. At the time you had the option to fill out a form and have it mailed to your house. Despite several conversations with the LA on board various cruises, we didn't get that first block until March 2024 (when we were half way to block #3). And that was after that ship's LA contacted shore side and was told too much time had passed and we were out of luck to get a block for the ship we were on when we earned it. The LA nicely just gave us one he had for the current ship. So our first block, earned on Serenade, is a block for Adventure.
  11. I'm glad you feel better. But it's not because gluten is unhealthy. And definitely not because it gets turned to fat (what's not digested gets expelled). Just make sure you're getting proper vitamins and minerals that tend to not be included in gluten free foods.
  12. This is an urban legend. Those who lose weight eating GF do so because they're eating less fried foods since GF versions are less available or just don't taste as good. But gluten is a prebiotic beneficial to the good bacteria in the intestines.
  13. So do you expect them to not do any maintenance in between dry docks? I don't think I've ever been on a cruise where some sort of project wasn't being worked.
  14. It's not hard. It worked great in the beginning. Just now they let too many people pick a MTD slot and it can cause bottlenecks.
  15. If you get into the SL, you've got one of the best concierges in the fleet, Dudley Jean
  16. Just browse a few pages of this forum. Lots of info already there for you.
