  1. Break even on Princess is three alcoholic drinks a day (approximately) so I've broken even by lunch time !
  2. I think you are referring to the Princess medallion.
  3. How are P&O still able to offer these cruises with flights included, on their web site, when flights are not available ?
  4. We quite like sea days as well, but three sea days for every port day is a bit much for us.
  5. Which I think was agreed upon way back on page one of the thread!
  6. That's a lot of sea days for very few ports !
  7. From some posts on here, it appears that the P&O staff don't actually know the current situation on board either !
  8. Yes, Australian. Very quaffable. And 25% off with the Tesco offer that starts today . Added bonus is that it does not make a noise when you drop it in your recycle bin !
  9. Not too keen on Jam Shed. A bit too jammy for me ! Good to know you are stocking up !
  10. Sorry about the inverted image ! Hooefully you get the idea !
  11. Tesco are selling a Banrock Station merlot in a plastic rectangular bottle for £6 which is bith light and unbreakable. Worth a look
  12. You can put the drink in either hand or hold luggage. If you want to drink straight away, put the drink in your carry on luggage, as it can be a while before your suitcases are delivered to your cabin. Your bags will be scanned, but the security staff are looking for guns, knives etc, not fluids, so no problem with alcohol, perfumes, shampoo etc. Much different to airport security. Also, just to point out that the security staff have no interest whatsoever in the P&O one litre per person alcohol limit rule ! We put bottles in hand luggage, wine boxes in suitcases.
  13. Try this link https://www.aboutluxurycruising.com/passenger-space-ratio/
  14. Thank you both. I think I'll pass !
  15. So, Celebrity offer bids in the UK, therefore nothing to do with UK legislation. However, probably best to let the thread return to its' original purpose.
  16. Enrolled into what exactly ? The opening and shutting your door game ?
  17. Just to clarify - are you saying that your friend had the Plus package, and was able to upgrade to Premier durung the cruise ? Did your friend then get a free speciality dinner, photo package etc ?
  18. Good point. AFAIK, no cruise lines offer bidding in the UK. From a legal point of view, I can see no legal reason why a bidding system could not be offered.
  19. Interesting to read the latest update from the CEO of the TA that many of us use. He states that sales have slowed over recent weeks, (and this was before the current debacle). I wonder if the looming power cost increases are starting to have an impact ?
  20. I didn't say I dislike Princess. We have cruised with Princess twice in the last twelve months, and will be cruising again with them early next year. But, they are discriminating against British and European cruisers by not allowing them to participate in the bidding process, which is clearly unfair. But thank you for your input.
  21. Thanks. I haven't been on Celebrity since 1998, so am out of touch ! But, paying $15 more for a steak seems a lot. Hopefully it would be a 35 day aged Wagu steak for that money !
  22. Mind you, George Micheal is not exactly current ! How about George Ezra instead?
  23. Simple to find out. Now $45. So, is the Celebrity meal 50% better than Princess ? Answers on a postcard!
