  1. I suppose the key question is, did they know they were positive at the time ?
  2. I have read reports that indicate that some MSC port stops can be quite short. Might be worth checking out the actual timings.
  3. That was my understanding as well. So if there are shortages in the UK, there will be shortages on ships based abroad. A certain amount can be sourced locally, but at a significant oncost.
  4. As Azura no longer visits the UK, supplies cannot be loaded in Southampton.
  5. I think it very much depends on the airline. We flew to Barcelona and returned from Athens on BA a few weeks ago, and mask wearing was not compulsory. I'd say no more than 10% of the passengers wore masks. Cabin crew on the Barcelona sector were masked, unmasked on the Athens flight.
  6. There is a curtain to divide the seating area from the "bedroom" on Regal Princess.
  7. Thanks - you are obviously paying a lot more attention than I am !
  8. It's all getting very messy! So where does Azura fit in ? I've lost track , Anyway, I have apologised for any upset I may have caused.
  9. I didn't realise that you were the OP. Your later posts were ambivalent. I apologise if I have upset you.
  10. You didn't say that you had just come back from Britannia. You said that your last cruise was on Azura. You also said that you didnt want to cruise with P&O again. So, why did you change your mind ?
  11. Not our experience earlier this month. The crew were fantastic - very friendly, and the bar staff were pouring my wine as I approached the bar ! Not my experience. Bar staff would always serve those waiting, especially once they got to know you. The staff knew I just wanted a simple beer or wine, and would pour it whilst working on some complicated cocktail. Our cruise was fantastic, and we have no complaints. We did some great trips, but used private companies - half the price of Princess tours, and only 6 people, not 46 !
  12. Princess are certainly showing that they are a step up in quality from P&O, at little extra cost. We were on the one and only Arcadia cruise in March, and the ship was dead at 10 pm. On Regal Princess last month, the ship was full of life at 11pm.
  13. Fair comment. All buffet style breakfasts are more or less the same, not only in hotels, but also on cruise ships.
  14. Although many of the ship's supplies would be shipped to Malta from the UK, so shortages would still exist.
  15. Reinforces the point I made earlier regarding Britannia.

    ETIAS

Quite a few on here do "worldies". There is even a specific forum for world cruises.
  17. A similar comment was also made regarding Azura. When compared to the Princess ships operating in Europe, it does seem that the P&O fleet ( with the obvious exception of Iona) are becoming unloved, and in need of some TLC. I appreciate that the Princess ships are much newer, but that is not an excuse for shabby soft furnishings, dirty carpets etc.

    ETIAS

Yes, because you are in European waters.
  19. When Greece required a test to be taken in the 24 hours prior to boarding, Princess tests at the port were free. I see that Greece has now come into line with elsewhere, with tests required in the three days prior to boarding, so Princess have withdrawn free tests. My apolgies for not noticing this change.
  20. Thats an enormously open question. Are you asking about the food, the cabin, the entertainment etc etc ? Perhaps you could narrow your question down a little, and then post on the Princess forum.
  21. Sorry, all I can say is that on our recent Princess cruise, all passengers staying on the ship after Athens were tested, and all getting on were also tested. Tests were not required for those staying on at Barcelona or Rome, so I assume it is a Greek requirement just for cruises.
  22. And Princees currently offer free tests at the pier in Athens. However, by next year hopefully testing will no longer be needed.

    ETIAS

No, because, assuming the ship is visiting Europe, you are limited to a total of 90 days in any 180 period. Getting off does not "reset" the clock.
  24. I saw Frankie Valli in Peterborough around 1977, and he was old then !
