  1. Isn't that always the case, same as with airports ? Apart from those periods when there were terrorist threats, I'm struggling to think of a time or place when you passed through security prior to check in.
  2. Similar to UK prices then. However, there are never BOGOFs on wine in the UK. Best we can hope for is a 25% off promotion, if you buy six or more bottles.
  3. They certainly are, due, I guess, to the relatively small number of diners. We too had to ask them to wait 15 minutes or so between courses.
  4. This was confirmed on Saturday in the live Sky blog.
  5. Thank you. Earlier than in April.
  6. It makes little difference if you have a reservation or not. Turn up at a MDR of your choice, at a time of your choosing, and ask for a table for two. Worse case scenario, you will be given a buzzer and have to wait 15 minutes.
  7. @Eglesbrech - could you confirm theatre show times please.
  8. Absolutely correct. As a European, I would want my coffee to be served after dessert. I don't want it sitting on the table, going cold, whilst I am eating.
  9. Judging by the profile pictures of many posters, there are quite a few overweight people on the forum, but I feel no need to pass judgement on their diets !
  10. Perhaps I should have been clearer. Two bottles, drunk by myself and wife, during the preparation, eating, and clearing of the meal.
  11. Prove that sweeping generalisation please. The "break even " level is so low, with regards to drink consumption, that your assertion is almost certainly wrong.
  12. That is no longer the case. There was an interview with John Padgett recently where he stated that cruise members can keep personal tips, whatever the customer does with autotips.
  13. Keep trying! I just can't imagine two bottles of wine lasting 21 days !!!,
  14. Actually, I don't think that is the case, as all crew members are on different contracts. There is no way that Princess would rotate out 700 crew members from one ship. We became friendly with a several crew members on Sky in April, and when we said that we were back on Sky in July, they all said that they would still be on board.
  15. I can confirm that we drink the same on day 1 as on day 13 ! Why should we cut down?
  16. Fair point - mind you, I spent many years leaving home at 6am to drive 60 miles to my office in London, so I understand the issue. But, when on holiday, why not change your habits? When we go to Spain, we eat at 22:00 like the locals. Just because you eat at 17:15 at home, doesn't mean you need to eat at the same time on holiday. Live a little, have a beer and watch the sail away at 17:30 , and eat at 19:30 !
  17. I would second that. We were on Sky in early April, and had no issues, although it could be difficult finding spare seats in a bar after 22:00.
  18. Crikey, that's a good price, and a steal if it is on offer as a bogof.
  19. What did you drink after the first night ? We had more than that tonight with our Sunday roast !
  20. Ooh, I do like the Casillero del Diablo. ( please don't judge !) How much is a bottle before the BOGOF deal ?
  21. Even when we go into our local coffee bar, we cannot sit down without being asked if we have any allergies!
  22. If I may say so, a fairly typical American timing. We wouldn't even think of eating until around 20:00. Neither timing is wrong, but I do think that some Americans do not realise that much of the rest of the world eat dinner a great deal later than 17:15.
