  1. You get a statement as to the amount of units consumed, and either get a refund from the supplier, or you pay any excess that you owe. Or, of course, you transfer your contract to your new residence.
  2. But that was aimed very much at Ryanair. Easy are obviously a loco airline, but have better business ethics than MoL's cheap and not so cheerful airline.
  3. I don't think Easy are any worse than Vueling in that respect.
  4. Wait until 9 or 10 months before the cruise before booking. Princess always price high early on. (Essex Racer - Fiesta ST?)
  5. Discussed at length elsewhere. If you already purchased Princess Plus, you will get drinks up to $15. Unfortunately (!) you won't get the naff desserts or the keep fit classes that no one goes to!
  6. As do ours. But your annual consumption is probably pretty consistent,. So, if you use 1200 units of gas or electric or water etc a year, you just pay for 100 units a month at the fixed rate you agreed to when you signed the contract. Some months you overpay, other months you underpay. At the end of 12 months you are square. No need to constantly look at your monthly bill, no need to make different payments each month.
  7. Thanks - we are on a similar cruise next year, but early December. Hopefully things will improve, but it sounds a bit dire at present.
  8. Two bottles will last us the first day !
  9. Good insurance should pay out for all extra costs, plus a fixed sum for missing the ship. No compensation is due from Princess, as they are not responsible for the flight issues.
  10. Well, that might be enough for the first two days of the cruise, but what about the next 12 days ?😁
  11. A five year old thread resurrected. That must have taken some finding !
  12. Have you looked at easyJet flights from Gatwick ? They have three or four flights a day to Rome. I would select them every time over Vueling.
  13. Not for at least four or five years.
  14. I agree. Yes, in the MDR they need to shut up shop fairly early. But club class dining extends to a max of 100 (?) pax. Given the healthy premium cc pax pay, surely extending breakfast to 10am is not unreasonable?
  15. Proves my point ! The worst dancer on the night wins, due to electoral malfeasance!
  16. Sorry, you have totally lost me. All I know is that I purchased Princess Plus some eight months ago, for a cruise in April 2023. The package at the time included drinks up to the value of $12. Now, my package includes drinks up to the value of $15. Unless Princess have decided to increase their drinks prices by 20% , which I doubt, I am no worse off.
  17. Seems a bit strange - if you have an annual contract of $300, the monthly payment is $25 ! Why the need to alter payments ? And what bills do you get that you need to verify ?
  18. Well, for Strictly fans - Fleur was robbed ! Far and away the best dancer - that's the problem when you let the public decide ! ( Harry - I know what you are thinking!)
  19. But they have not done that. I paid for Princess Plus at the "old" price, and my account shows that I I am now eligible for drinks up to $15. So, as far as I am concerned, I am no worse off. Your argument is wrong.
  20. Perhaps we live in different environments. All our utility bills, local taxes, internet costs etc are on 12, 18 or 24 month contracts, with a constant monthly payment. Nothing to check, the payment is made automatically, and at the end of each contract period you renegotiate a new contract (although obviously not with the local council !) No need to constantly check bills, arrange payments etc. As for credit cards, I have a standing variable direct debit, to pay off the full amount every month, but can challenge any unexplained charge at any time. So, I can happily go on a three month cruise (I wish) without needing to worry about making any payments - everything is taken care of .
  21. Club class breakfast is served in the CC dining room. As such, it is a quiet area, with lots of tables for two. Service is quick and attentive, and individual quirks (salmon and avocado and scrambled egg and a salad) are dealt with much more easily than in the MDR. But, unfortunately, service stops far too early (9:00 ?) so we only ever made it down there once. Would it be too difficult to extend breakdast service to 10am ?
  22. And as many of us have posted, with screen shots as evidence, your CVP is totally wrong.
  23. Looks like Dawn Princess - our first Princess cruise back in the late 90s. As Brits, on a package holiday, we first had a week in a hotel on the DR, and then transferred to the ship via a tender, including our luggage ! I can remember all the American cruisers looking at us as we jumped aboard, wondering what was going on ! So different to today.
