  1. I use a Dropbox spreadsheet for my meagre finances that I have personalised. Means I can access my files from various devices.
  2. To be honest, I don't think Carnival are too worried about people buying and then selling the shares in order to obtain obc. The sums involved are minuscule in the scale of things. The cost to Carnival in actual profit for shareholder obc, is probably less than £50. Too little to worry about.
  3. You actually do not need to do anything in advance. Just turn up at the pier, and the check in staff will do everything for you. Much less stress that way !
  4. Yes you can. We never know when we want to eat when we are at home, let alone on a cruise in the future. We just turn up when we are hungry.
  5. Good to see that MB finally took off, about three hours late. Hopefully she is imbibing the odd G&T, to help pass the time !
  6. All my clothes added together would not come to 46 kg !
  7. A lot depends on the geographic location of the cruise. European cruises tend not to have people dressed like that.
  8. I can see that byob might work for light drinkers, but we would need around twenty bottles of wine on a 14 night cruise, plus of course beer and spirits, so for us it is a non-starter.
  9. The maths work for us, and, I suspect most others as well, assuming you like a glass (or three) of wine each day.
  10. If you want the extras, you need to pay an additional $10 pppd to upgrade your existing Premier package. You can do this via your TA or direct with Princess - it will have no impact on your existing booking.
  11. That sounds like a Virgin scheduled flight. For proper business class seating, I would be very tempted !
  12. Thanks MB. It is indeed 11 am. For some reason I thought the departure time would be earlier, so had only been looking at flights leaving prior to 10am !
  13. The BHX bus stops are directly outside the departure buildings.
  14. Whoops! That will teach me not to use long words after sampling a bottle of Malbec ! Thanks for the correction.
  15. Basically, it only applies to those who were thinking of booking, but could not make their minds up prior to December 14th. But, even so, on a 14 night cruise, they will only have to pay an extra $140 because of their prevarication. Not exactly a big deal, in the scale of things.
  16. MB - no need to put yourself out - looks like it will be on a first come, first served basis. I'm thinking that a day pass at a local hotel might make more sense, assuming that is logistically possible. Thanks again.
  17. Purely supposition, but I assume the departures concourse at BHX.
  18. Graham, unless you have a suite, the room service breakfast is normally pretty awful, iirc. Just a few pastries and no hot drinks. Our preferred option ( well, actually Mrs W's instructions ) is that she makes the tea, whilst I go to the buffet and return with a full collation of pastries, meats, cheese, ham etc. I normally have to go twice as I will have forgotten something obvious, such as tomatoes to go with the cheese !
  19. The increase is less than the cost of a glass of wine, so not exactly a deal breaker !
  20. You are entitled to drinks $15 and under, as mentioned in above posts !
  21. Thanks MB. Already booked BHX flights, but I thought I'd ask about timings now, rather than wait until next year, when people may have forgotten the details. On a seperate issue, could you check to see when you can book day cabins, for the last day. Sorry to impose ! Have a great cruise.
  22. Just on a related matter, I see that from February next year, you will be able to buy the packages on board. Can I purchase Princess Plus or Princess Premier when I’m on board? Yes. Princess Plus and Princess Premier will be available to purchase onboard beginning with voyages sailing 1/2/2023 and beyond.
