B322 (1.9.23) roll call started. I'm not expecting an overwhelming response !

Us Brits get very jealous reading about the ability to refare. We can only refare once, and it costs £50 ($60) pp to do so. Seems very unfair. And we can't participate in the upgrade bidding system either.

Thanks - we are in PE and will want to book one if the "pairs" of seats if possible (yet more money!)

Selling out cabins is easy. What is difficult is selling out cabins at the maximum possible price per cabin - that is the perfect moment, from a cruise line perspective.

To be fair, he said the food in the MDR and the buffet was fine. His main issues revolved around room service delays and cold food being delivered. The response from Princess was spot on, in his view. The key point that comes out, is to complain at the time, not wait until after the event, when it is too late for management to investigate and take corrective action. We are on Sky again in April, so will see how things are, but are still looking forward to the cruise.

From the pictures I have seen, they look to be brand new. They also appear to be pre-made ie bought in pre-frozen and served up with a final last minute "added touch" to give a home made feel.

We are on that cruise as well. Have you joined the roll call ? Personally, I am pretty confident it will go ahead. If it was going to be cancelled, P&O would have done so by now.

In the past, both Princess Plus and Premier had to be booked in advance, but I see that from next year you will be able to purchase them when onboard. As coffee packages, soft drink packages etc can be purchased using obc, logically you should be able to purchase PP with obc as well. But, Princess have not clearly made this clear, as far as I can see.

Not sure I follow your logic. On your last day your luggage is taken from you and you have to vacate your cabin. You do not see your luggage again until you land back in the UK.

Given the price of drinks on Cunard, it will never be a party cruise line !

Which is our position as well. If Princess stopped offering the Plus package, we would no longer cruise with them, as the total cost of the cruise would be beyond our budget, unless we stopped drinking [and that ain't happening !]

As previously stated, the details of the dialogue came from other guests, not Ms Fulani. And none of the parties involved have denied the veracity of the exchange. Victim shaming does you no credit. To my mind 7 days is just too short a cruise as well. Too much aggravation regarding packing, travelling to and from the port, booking a hotel for the night before the cruise, etc. 14 nights minimum for us.

But you do not have to participate in "all this jazz" if you do not want to. Just buy the standard fare, and then pay everything else on a payg basis.

You misread the post - flights are on TUI. But I agree, Marella cruises seem expensive.
