  1. It's not in my travel summary either. Just shows "Plus Beverage Package - 50" like yours. I am not aware that the actual drink price limit has ever been shown, even when it was $12.
  2. You have the Plus Beverage Package. Princess tell you exactly what you get with the Plus Package. Plus Beverage Package Our Plus Beverage Package includes the classics: sodas, Speciality coffees and teas, cocktails, wine and beer up to $15 each. Even hot chocolate, smoothies and water to go. Whatever you want – with tips included!
  3. We flew with Jet2 from BHX last month. Check in took less than 3 minutes, and one minute of that was due to me working out how to apply the luggage label to the case handle !
  4. Jimmy - good idea. However, I know you are a connoisseur, and my level of wine appreciation falls significantly below yours. Yes, we might take a couple of IKEA glasses on board, for use in the cabin, but in all honesty I do not think our jaded palates will benefit from carting our own glasses from bar to bar ! One day, hooefully our paths will cross, and you will be able to show me what I have been missing !
  5. The answerto question 2 clearly states that only the new elements of the Plus package will not be available to you (desserts and keep fit) if you do not pay the extra cost.
  6. Yes indeed. I made the point about price increases to disprove a point made by a previous poster, but do not expect Princess to follow through with increases of that magnitude.
  7. Fortunately, even if the prices increase from $12 to $15, they will still be included if you have Princess Plus, regardless of the price you paid for the package.
  8. Every UK airport, and every European airport enforce a strict liquids or paste policy - any such items must be placed in a clear plastic bag, and passed through the scanner separately to your hand luggage. Also, a 100ml maximum per item is also enforced.
  9. I suppose so, but surely a new thread altogether would be better. Those people interested in logistics for Edinburgh are hardly likely to look in a thread about Baltic cruises.
  10. Sorry, that is incorrect. As has been pointed out on numerous occasions, if you purchased the old package, you will be entitled to drinks up to 15usd. You will, however, miss out on desserts and keep fit classes.
  11. So, in theory, Princess could increase the cost of every drink, bar three, to over 12usd, and could claim that they were abiding by the package !
  12. And why should that be an issue ? On a daily basis you are tracked via your phone, face recognition technology, your car sat nav, APNR cameras etc. Worrying that Princess can find out, if they can be bothered, which bar you prefer, is the least of your worries !
  13. Every single regular bill we have is paid by direct debit or standing order. I would have thought that was common practice these days.
  14. I think 99% of us agree with you. Princess are really scraping the bottom of the barrel to try and disguise the fact that this is just a price increase, pure and simple.
  15. Interesting point. We are sailing out of Southampton on Sky on April 1st. As a Brit, I will be driving to the port. Security staff could not care less how nany bottles I bring aboard, so in theory, say 10 bottles, plus top ups from port stops. But, we like to socialise, drink in the bars and chat to fellow cruisers. If I take a nice bottle of Rioja into Vines, will I get given an empty glass, no questions asked, or will the corkage police descend upon me?
  16. $350 for a week or a fortnight? We had a cc minisuite on Sky. For us, the big benefit was club dining, rather than the cabin location. We thoroughly enjoyed it as a one off ( big wedding anniversary), but on reflection I don't think I would pay more than $20 pppd extra, assuming I was happy with my existing cabin choice. And, in fact we are on Sky in April, and have just gone for a standard minisuite.
  17. Standard screening procedure. Every airport does it.
  18. Scotmay - we have done two Princess cruises in the last year, and have another one booked for April. In our last two cruises the staff did not want to see our app, could not care less what colour our boarding pass was etc. We went to a check in desk, and the staff basically started from scratch. There is no need to do anything in advance, as the check in staff know nothing about the Medallion app. So, for our next cruise, I have done nothing.
  19. As someone who is still booked on a Britannia Baltic cruise, I am nonplussed to see that this thread seems to now be all about Edinburgh. Our cruise goes nowhere near Scotland, so why all the discussion about Rosyth etc ? Perhaps the mods could intervene. If you want to discuss ferries into Edinburgh, perhaps a new thread would be appropriate.
  20. Just wanted to say, that I think Jet2 are the best LoCo operator out there. Their ground operations are especially noteworthy.
