  1. NCL already has this.... " All scooters and wheelchairs MUST be stored in the stateroom. Due to the safety and escape way requirements established by SOLAS regulations, they cannot be stored in the hallways, stairways, or any other public area."
  2. Having FCC applied to a new booking is much easier than having it applied to a booking that you already have. It can be done but it can get messy. Let's say that the FCC is from booking #1234. You also have a booking for another cruise and that booking number is #5678. If you try to apply #1234 to #5678, MSC will cancel #5678 (and whatever the total was) and make that future booking #1234 using what the current price of that cruise is. If the current price is less, great. If the current price is more, it can be a pain to get everything fixed. For example, if FCC #1234 is worth $5,000 and cruise #5678 was $5,000 when you booked but is currently $6,000, MSC will tell you that you owe $1,000 after the FCC is applied. You KNOW that the FCC should have covered your already booked cruise but MSC will try to apply the newer price to you, not the price that you already had booked. It will be a fight to get MSC to correct the price of the new cruise to $5,000 but it can be done (I've done it). If the FCC is applied and that cruise is also cancelled, you will get back the FCC in the original amount that it was. It won't get another increase if the 1st one was increased. The FCC will still have the same number (#1234) and the whole thing will start over again.
  3. If you Click HERE and look for "Indulge in EXCLUSIVE AMENITIES", you can click on the 3 tabs to see some information. *Note the number of "(not available on Norwegian Joy)" for some things.
  4. The Seashore pergolas do not have a roof (I learned the towel trick from MOTS 🙂) but the Seascape pergolas have a plastic roof.

  6. Once you select the cabana of your choice, tell your butler what you would like there. If you want a cooler with a bottle of prosecco and a few bottles of Acqua Panna, it will be there. With the Seaside EVO ships having more cabanas and being first come/first serve, MSC doesn't have them set-up like the 3 cabanas on Meraviglia.
  7. All of the orange ones (O5) sleep 5 and have a sofa bed and a pull man in the ceiling.
  8. NCL has used many names over the years for the basic package. UBP, UOB, PBP are basically the same. The PPBP is the higher level one that covers higher level/more expensive drinks.
  9. Your card information might carry onto the ship or it might not. Either way, it's not a big deal to register a card while on the ship. There are kiosks throughout the ship and you can register a card there. You don't have to do it immediately so if the lines are long, just wait until later in the evening or the next day.
  10. Whenever I post specific information about riding or what I ride, a Mod deletes it so I'll be vague. I started riding over 20 years ago, started doing track-days less than a year later, graduated racing school and got my racing license 2 years after that, did a few races per season in the Mid-Atlantic region (amateur level) for a few years, then continued to street ride but stopped racing. If you see a 1000cc sportbike rider in Central Florida (rare) who is wearing a helmet (very rare), proper riding gear (extremely rare), and with correct riding/body position (unicorn rare), it might be me. 👍
  11. Cruise ships have internal combustion engines that produce exhaust in order to function. Human beings DO NOT require cigarettes in order to function and DO NOT need to produce cigarette smoke.
  12. I wouldn't want my name on the cabana but there is a sign that shows that the cabana is reserved. I've seen the sign for cabanas that were in the Yacht Club area as well as and outside of the Yacht Club area.
  13. I agree. On one of my sailings, all YC cabanas were sold out long before the cruise and we didn't get one. Since then, I book mine even earlier. For my World America cruise (largest YC, most YC guests), I booked my cabana over 2 years in advance.
  14. As a side note, most people can easily and inexpensively add a rainfall showerhead to their existing shower at home...probably for less than the cost to upgrade to a CBS from a balcony. 😎
  15. Wearing too much perfume doesn't kill thousands of people per year who don't wear too much perfume. Having bad breath doesn't kill thousands of people per year who don't have bad breath. The act of not bathing regularly doesn't kill thousands of people per year who do bathe regularly. Cigarette smoke does kill thousands of people per year who don't smoke. That's worse than rude, unfortunate, or offensive...combined. ☠️
  16. Click HERE Scroll down to "An SDP meal in a la carte restaurants includes 1 appetizer, 1 soup or salad, 1 main course and 1 dessert (does not apply to cover charge restaurants or Food Republic, Pincho Tapas Bar and Sushi, where a meal includes any 4 menu items)." You can also find the terms & conditions there.
  17. Only if the Girl Scout is 15 years-old and has her own stateroom.
  18. Yacht Club is usually compared to The Retreat class on Celebrity.
  19. This isn't set in stone and changes are always possible... Schedule
  20. On Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore, the size order is 9, 12, 15, 14, 11, 10, 13 from deepest to least deep.
  21. You will get a card and a wristband at check-in. Either one can be used to access your stateroom, enter the Yacht Club, or make purchases on the ship. You will need the card to exit/enter the ship. There are pergolas that are first come/first serve. Some are reserved for certain suites but the rest are open for YC guests. There are shaded areas if you want to sit there. Check the forum since most questions that first-time Yacht Club guests ask have already been asked and answered. The better prepared that you are, the better the experience (pun intended) will be.
  22. If you take the promo, you pay the 20% just like anyone else who takes the promo. Many years ago, Suite/Haven guests didn't have to pay the **% service charge (15%, 18%, 20%) but now even those guests pay it.
  23. The steward isn't included in the FAS 20% gratuities and service charges for the beverage and dining packages. On rare occasions, the Free at Sea promo will include the daily service charge (which does include the room steward) but I haven't had that one in years.
  24. It's up to you to decide if/how much to tip. There's no "need" to tip anyone. Some guests do it because they want to tip. Some guests don't do it because they don't want to tip.
  25. For Explora, I'm going to continue to sit on the sideline and wait things out. Maybe in a few years when both of my kids and the brand are a bit older....
