  1. Hi Everyone! We are very pleased to welcome Rudi Schreiner, President, Co-Founder and Co-Owner of AmaWaterways River Cruises! Mr. Schreiner will be here on April 24th, but you can start asking your questions right away in our special Q&A forum located here! Now read on to learn more about Mr. Schreiner! Visionary river cruise line executive Rudi Schreiner was born at the heart of the Danube River in Vienna, Austria. His study of architectural design converged with a passion for traveling the world, and he became a leader in transforming modern river cruising, pioneering new itineraries made possible by the 1992 opening of the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal and earning the title of the “Godfather of River Cruising”. Among his many honors, he has been recognized as the “Most Innovative Cruise Executive” and awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). In 2019, alongside AmaWaterways’ Co-Founder Kristin Karst, Schreiner was also honored with an AFAR Travel Vanguard award for his visionary leadership in turning travel into a force of good in the world. 5. So the system is set to send notifications to you if you have posted to (or followed) a topic (or, even a forum if you have chosen to FOLLOW that forum). You can change this by clicking on your member name (upper right) and selecting "Managed Followed Content". I also see some of you are talking about emails from your cruise line -- sorry cannot help with that. BUT, what I'm really interested in are any emails you have received that indicates it is from one of our hosts. Any auto notifications should be coming from cruise critic and not naming a host. Please forward me one or two of these emails at: community@cruisecritic.com Laura

But inside, the space distribution has the familiar feel of a cruise ...View the full article

  20. Ship - Enchanted Princess Class - Royal Deck - 16 (Lido) Stateroom # - L205 Category - Mini-Suite - MF Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern - Starboard Side Forward Connects With Cabin - No Accessible - No Quiet - See Comments Balcony Size - Small View - Unobstructed Privacy Issues - Balcony is 100%+ covered; deck 17 balconies extend far over deck 16 balcs. Wind - No Issues Soot - Not an issue Problems - There is a "room service cleaning location" (for lack of a better term) directly across the hall from this stateroom. While it wasn't used all day long, it was used late morning, later in the afternoon, and right before bedtime as stateroom stewards use this space to clean up room service remnants. They were noisy as they never shut the door. All noise clearly heard in stateroom. See images below, taken directly from my doorway. Comments - Stateroom felt brand new; very clean and spacious. We barely used all the storage areas. I loved being on this deck! Just a quick walk across to the Marketplace totally protected from the elements (although it is outside). Plenty of seating at tables, as well as easy access to pizza and grill items (and MUTS). I would book this general location again in a heartbeat, but would select something away from the above cleaning station.
  21. I spy...Cruise Critic members! Looks like you got a visit from the officers!
