  1. @FarBeyondMe If you are happy with travelling on the underground then look for a hotel out of the centre. They are cheaper and the savings there will well cover any travelling costs and your meals while sight seeing. In Tokyo/Yokohama think about a Pasmo card especially if you are there for 3 days or more. But at the airport, easy to use and you don't have to get individual tickets. Then get it refunded at your last station. We used Best Western Yokohama at Tsurumi; very nice and close to many train lines; easy to get to both Tokyo and Yokohama.
  2. Remember that hotels booked by NCL are Per Person and not Per Room as they are when you book for yourself,. We tend to book for ourselves with one of two chains to get the benefit of their Loyalty schemes, just like using NCL to get the benefits of Latitude Rewards. Travel in both Tokyo/Yokohama and Singapore is simple on their "undergrounds" so get a hotel you want and use the underground to get round.
  3. @Pillonad Who did you book with? An NCL PCC? If so that should be you first "port of call" as any email to Miami will get passed back to your PCC. If you get the "brush off" from her, go public
  4. @cruisekitty22 Here is a link to the Prohibited Item List https://www.ncl.com/nz/en/prohibited-items
  5. @Monica887 Totally agree; Make your FINAL PAYMENT now!!
  6. @arochon1 Talk to a human being not a BOT!! Get your PCC on the phone as soon as. If you don't have one GET ONE NOW!! Reservations number is 1 800 327 7030. They should be able to help you.
  7. @kabookie7 Simple Answer:- THE CHEAPEST ONES!! If they can save you $100 by booking you with 2 stops and Diddle Me Quick Airlines they will.
  8. A while since this was used so I thought I would bring to the front of the queue again!!
  9. I have to decrease the % cover down till what I want finishes on the page. Where you find how to that depends on the instructions within the print method you are using. Using the "Print" "button on the eDocs I have to use a Custom Scale to 54% to get it to print on to 1 page of foolscap..
  10. Has anyone a definition from NCL of what they define as wine? Does it include Champagne, Port, Sherry?
  11. But remember that it is only WINE not spirits you can take on board. Also remember to carry it on unless you want your luggage held till late in the evening when you have to go to explain.
  12. @ERNLYN The document I have states "Eligibility: Guests 1 & 2 on the Reservation"
  13. Are you in a suite or the Haven? If so you almost certainly don't need a time, arrive at any time.
  14. @BirdTravels We have NEVER seen that. Mike
  15. One major positive, Steven Jacobsen the GM, the way he leads his officers and then the way those officers lead the crew you will interact with during the cruise.
  16. Get one or two numbered tags from the towel store each with a refundable deposit of $10 which is lost if the tag times out. The deposit is immediately debited to the folio. The chairs to have an opening to take the tags with the number not visible when inserted. The time mechanism in the chair cuts out whenever 50KG+ uses the chair for at least 10 minutes. If you return the tag when you have finished with the chair (you need to remember the number to remove) the charge is immediately refunded to your folio. If the timer runs for 30 minutes without being de-activated, the staff are "informed" and then have to remove the tag and the passenger has lost the right to that chair and his/her $10. Another chair, another $10 deposit.
  17. Sometimes "Ask and ye shall receive" works; well done.
  18. @The Traveling Man Take all the prizes to the next M&G you attend and have a free raffle!!! VBG Mike
  19. @The Traveling Man We did 4 cruises on the Jade November/December and had LOTS of filled cards. "Prize Giving" was during our dining time, by the time we got there there was NOTHING worthwhile available. I don't believe that there were any T shirts at all. We managed to get ONE NCL mug and a couple of pens,
  20. Ask your steward and (s)he will arrange for an iron (and ironing board) to be delivered.
  21. Do those doing the preparations in NY actually take any notice of the times when you are due to arrive?
  22. @ontheweb What ship? What date? What start and end ports?
  23. In the old days there used to be Great Prizes. On the Jade November/December there was "rubbish", not worth the time and effort especially when they ran out of the semi good stuff early on.
  24. @The Traveling Man James Our problem, and the others I know of, took place either just before Covid or early during Covid and I believe that they, collectively, were the cause of the change. Mike
  25. Regarding B2B v 2 cruises. In our case the two cruises (20 days and 24 days) we booked were NOT offered as a single cruise (44 days). I have come across three specific cases where people have had great difficulties where two cruises were booked in this way under a single Reservation Number. They were slightly different to the situation I think is being discussed. In the cases I know of the two cruises were NOT offered as a single cruise by NCL but someone had done it off their own bat!! In our case the Future Cruise Consultant on a cruise had done that, a single Reservation Number for two B2B cruises at a single, combined, price. Our problems were that we only appeared on NCL's computers as being on the first cruise and not on the second for material being sent out from Miami or Sydney. It meant we got paperwork (emails) about the first cruise but not about the second before we boarded. As all communication, on board, was by paper we got it with no problems. When the second cruise was cancelled and we had refunds available for both cruises no one was able to calculate the monetary values as we had only one "fare" and not two. While it took a couple of months for most people to receive refunds it took us well over 5. It only happened in the end as I had someone in Sydney who was so annoyed by what was happening that she took up the case on our behalf. It was finally settled when a corporate lawyer from NCL in Europe became involved. However no one was able to explain how the refunds were calculated. I believe that NCL will, no longer, issue a single Reservation Number when two cruises are booked B2B and certainly will not quote a single, combined, "fare". However I believe they will offer, at times, two cruises as a single cruise where there is a difference in fares and possibly in "perks" between the two B2B cruises (say 7 + 7 days) and the single 14 day cruise. However this has no bearing on the application of Latitude "perks". As we didn't do the second cruise I don't know whether we would have "lost" a second set of Latitude "perks". As we were on board at the time I very much doubt it!!!!!!! Mike
