  1. I like my ariats for a trip like that. They are lightweight and have good ankle support. I sprayed them with waterproofing. They have been my go to shoes for Alaska, Norway and New England. I wear them on the plane and pack other shoes.
  2. I had the opposite problem before our cruise. We don't really go formal anymore. My husband wears slacks and a button down. I wear a nice but not formal dress. I found a couple of dresses at Belk. They have dressy separates too. I need to go back and find something for the wedding but I am waiting to see if I can drop a couple pounds.
  3. I don't sell my knitting. No one could afford my work. I do donate to silent auctions etc. I also have given a few things to my knit worthy parts of the family. I usually have several items on the needles at a time but if I concentrate on one thing I can make a shawl in 2 weeks. I have a tee I am almost finished with. I am alternating it with the wedding shawl.
  4. I am not good at design. It was a mystery knit along pattern where I received 6 clues over 2 months. It was very interesting because it was made in 2 different sections and then put together. There are certain designers that I trust their mysteries will turn out well.
  5. On our recent cruise the meeting place for our excursion in Belize was on the pier so we had to tender first in time to meet. For us the first and last day make the key attractive to us.
  6. Now I am embarrassed. It's a boy. Sabel has become Coal. Note to self - double check what people tell you always!
  7. As I am a lightweight as far as drinks go my review of our drinks on the cruise is short. We found the pool bar was only good when not busy. The Solarium bar was much better. My go to drinks were Dark and Stormy, Caribbean Mule and Mezcal Mule. There was definitely a ginger beer theme.
  8. @Sea Dog That is too bad about the disappointing news. I hope you can get the replacement scheduled and be better quickly. You will be running up and down the stairs on the ship before you know it.
  9. I would get the key again. What I enjoy about it is the ability to drop our carry one off and not lug them around until our cabin is ready. I like the Chops lunch away from the crowded Windjammer. I liked not having to worry about the tender in Belize. I like the last morning breakfast away from the crowds and being able to leave when we want. Super easy to find our luggage. Plus we both had the internet package which we would have gotten anyway. On a larger ship I would have liked it even more for the show seating. The lamb chops were grilled.
  10. So what does your husband do on the last morning of the cruise. The internet is finally fast since most people are still asleep and he has had all the pool time he can take. He looks at all the categories on Craigslist and now meet our newest family member. Her name is Sabel and she is 9.5 weeks old.
