  1. Tractor Supply will have everything you need to set up the fence. We had to have hot wire around our melons in Texas.
  2. My guess would be raccoons. Climb up the stalk, stalk breaks since a full size raccoon is not lightweight and the feast can begin. An electric fence will keep them out. Otherwise the will climb over and under.
  3. It really depends on what the value is for you. We like it for the internet, the first day quite lunch, being able to drop off our carry ons, the last morning relaxed breakfast, escort off, easy to find luggage. Being able to avoid the crowds and bums rush off the ship is what we enjoy. On the larger ships there is the bonus of dedicated seating.
  4. My yuck moment: One morning I am on the phone with the vet and walking down the stairs. I pause and look over the landing to see my cat Cinnamon deposit a coral snake next to my blind sleeping dog. While still on the phone I get the cat away from the snake, wake up the dog gently and move her away. Get a broom and dustpan. Sweep the snake into the dustpan and deposit it outside far away from the house. Then I finish my call with the vet. Now if my husband had been home I would have screamed snake and made him handle it. LOL
  5. @Jimbo Thank you. We now have a Greenland cruise booked next year. I definitely need your ideas on the ports once you have taken your cruise.
  6. Finding a competent, compassionate and sane pet/house sitter is what keeps me up at night. Right now we have a lovely couple who I trust completely. I worked with them at the refuge so I know how they work. We have several trips planned for this year and next so I hope they do not move away anytime soon. I agree with having a backup just in case and think getting your key back is a good idea.
  7. I will post pictures as soon as it is finished. The rows are long and in between I am working on a tee for me so it may be another month.
  8. It is already 81 this morning. Later today it is supposed to rain and will cool off a bit. The kids and I did an escape room last night and had so much fun. We got out with 7 minutes to spare. We also had a meeting with the wedding planner and I think most items are on track. I have 15 more rows on the wedding shawl.
  9. If not for the big wedding in our back yard this year we probably could have.
  10. We were on Grandeur the week of June 17th. We are older and were happy with a smaller ship without all the bells and whistles. It was hot so we used the main pool on the sea days. We could always get a table in the shade for the day. The pool was fine and not overrun with children. The solarium was very warm but on a cold weather cruise would have been nice. We liked the Windjammer except the last night when the choices were not to our liking. We ate in Chops one night and Izumi one night and the food was very good. We ate in the Windjammer for dinner twice and the food was good. We ate in the MDR three nights and the food was good. The bread was excellent. The game shows were a lot of fun. The rest of the entertainment was meh. The bands were not to our taste and the shows were just ok. The comedian was funny the first time but his second show was not very good at all. That being said we had a good cruise and will probably book this ship again for a Greenland cruise next year since it will be the ship doing the itinerary we want. The Solarium bar had the best drinks.
  11. So glad you are fine. That sounds like a wonderful trip to Maine. I know about herding cats. I am in charge of the plans for the fiber fest trip in October for 6 of us. It will be fun but it is like pulling teeth to just find out who wants to go to the Biltmore the first day and who will be driving. Sigh.
  12. Back pain is no fun. I am so glad Micheline had the surgery and is feeling better already. Not having to think about bending etc. will be so nice for her.
  13. I use the Neutrogena cleansing wipes and then rinse with water. A lot of days I just have mascara and eyebrow pencil on. It seems to get all the makeup off. I wash my face with soap when I take my shower.
  14. I don't remember. I bought them in 2006. Still in great shape and like you still love them.
  15. There is an aviary at the port. I think it was $14.00 each. It is built in sections with sky bridges between each. Beautiful birds.
  16. We were there in June. The shuttle was running. The vendors were more aggressive then the ones in Cozumel. Just saying no was sometimes not enough and they would continue to harass you. The aviary is very nice.
