Thanks DH was thinking he could use the cell for wifi on the ship but maybe best just to turn the phone OFF not sure about shore side may give it try at the first USA port but AFAIK or I could fine there is no "Roam like home" deal with our provider even though they use Rogers network I see a lot of people at POM using their cell phones at the dock So it is not that isolated 😉

There are NO formal nights on any Oceania ships AFAIK Where do you find "Elegant club casual nights " is that on O or the Luxury lines?? Sorry in precovid cruises on O have never seen any nights described as Elegant club casual what ever that means sounds like an oxymoron to me 🤔

Did you book direct with O or via an agent ? I would contact them & get them to confirm you have the right amenities

talk with your wallet Once people start cancelling & want their money back they will have to do something about the "pets" onboard

sorry off topic a bit We have just gotten a smart phone (Samsung) 1.5 years ago & still cell phone challenged When we get on the ship I know to put it on airplane mode do you turn data off or does the airplane mode take care of that ? As far as I can tell we just have Canada wide calling so not sure about the USA ports have to call our provider Will use a laptop for onboard emails etc.. PS we are old

The next segment is waitlisted so they are trying to make room for those that may have just booked the April 7th cruise & are on the list They are not going to boot those onboard off or those that have a Cabin assignment I do not understand you comments??

Yes they probably are trying to clear the wait lists They did this for many years then just before covid they were not booking as many cabins for wait lists & GTY If you are flexible in your plan it can be a good deal especially if you use O air to get to the port If you get an offer be sure to check if in same Category or if any cash incentive to move over

I would ask on the Princess forum It has probably been done before by someone I am guessing you are looking at minimum 4 hrs you would need to clear Immigration at the Border Maybe plan to stay overnight in Seattle if you choose that option JMO

Is it 64 pp or per cabin? either way worth at least $6400 or more as excursions are about $200 or less in the O life program They are the basic O life excursions Look at the ports & excursions offered then decide what works best for you Keep in mind you are just giving $2000 to Oceania to hold for you & it becomes non refundable OBC that you are paying up front I am sure you could make better use of the excursion Perk on a RTW cruise JMO
