Could that have been the amount Gratuites would be? Did they actually bill you ? Some times places will put a hold on CC to be sure they can get your money then the "hold" is cancelled when the bill is paid or no balance is required JMO

You can book the excursions now if they are available you can change up to 14 days prior to sailing if you choose put the excursions in the cart online then I believe you may have to check out & submit a CC but the balance should be $0 some experts here have posted about adding the YWC excursions to get the discount It may be easier for new pax to call & get someone at O do do it for you less frustrating in the long run JMO

Usually TA's are not allowed to advertise a lower price than the cruise line They can discount when you call & ask for specific sailings So just looking at a TA site you may not see any difference in pricing A TA will often offer deals or perks Shop around

I think a lot of O cheerleaders rave on about the food the staff etc so when pax new to Oceania board they are disappointed People say "you will love O" but different people have different expectations & may not LOVE them Go with an open mind do not compare to other lines & you will probably come away with a good experience on O & may be even be a convert Oceania works for us & our needs/wants but they are not the be all to everyone Oceania is not perfect they do have their flaws JMO
