  2. Yesterday's blog of our visit to Crete has been uploaded as had today's Daily Program for Piraeus - go to https://blog.rakkor.uk to view
  3. I started with the good intentions of photographing my dinner dishes, and got as far as the asparagus appetizer The the tandoori lamb cutlets arrived and I promptly forgot about anything else
  4. This evening's sunset is leaving Crete
  5. Latest post and Daily Programme uploaded https://blog.rakkor.uk I was given one task this morning, do the laundry - I loaded it all correctly, set the correct settings and set it off. When I went back 40 minutes later the door light was still flashing and it hadn't started, I nudged the door and it started properly this time - soooo mad!
  6. Sorry it's a typo on my part ";" instead of ":" in the URL should be https://blog.rakkor.uk
  7. VID_20231007_115938~2.mp4 Apparently this is a whistle according to Captain Hoyt
  8. Much better - I'm desperately hoping I've not passed it on to Jane or our table mates, or I'm not going to hear the last of it
  9. I'm a bit slow updating the blog today, myVoyage has been down since the itinerary change, some were saying it was down to people crashing the intranet trying to change their shore excursions, but that seems a bit far fetched to me - anyway both yesterday's blog and today's Daily Programme are now available at https;//blog.rakkor.uk
  10. This will be out second visit to Crete, both times because of a rearranged schedule, the last time was because we couldn't get into Ephesus because of the abortive coup attempt in Turkey
  11. That was my first thought, which was why we bought a test kit in Cadiz which thankfully came back negative.
  12. It could be a cold, but it just feels worse than that, washed out, aching all over etc. But then again I am a bloke so you never know
  13. Captain Hoyt has just announced an itinerary change as part of his 12 o'clock announcement - apparently Mykonos is going to be too windy to tender safely so we will be going to Crete instead
  14. I've posted yesterday's rather boring blog and today's Daily Programme https://blog.rakkor.uk I really didn't do much yesterday, as I'm full of the Flu which is a surprise since the flu jab is the one inoculation I've had this year, I can only assume that this strain wasn't on the list that they chose the jab from. I'm aching all over and the Spanish Lemsip doesn't seem to do anything plus there isn't anything for a cold in the ships shop. Jane had the bright idea of getting dome lemon and honey at breakfast, so I've just had a homemade Lemsip, so let's see how I fare with that
  15. Yesterday's Cadiz Blog episode and today's daily programme have been uploaded to my blog at https://blog.rakkor.uk
  16. I'm far too young, almost a callow youth - I had my flu jab a couple of weeks back
  17. I've been suffering with a cold for the last couple of days, a proper cold with sore throat and wheezy chest. I've been really worried it's going to be COVID and it's causing me a dilemna, what do I do if I test positive, and what happens to you? Do you get chucked off the ship, there aren't any quarantine cabins any more. Any way we went into Cadiz and got some Spanish Lemsip, and some rapid flow tests the bad news is the Lemsip tastes awful, the good news is I'm negative. So now I'm free to spread my germs around the ship
  18. There have been loads of of people pre-booking them on board. Apparently they are all going in a spreadsheet and will be entered as sales when the are live
  19. We've arrived in Cadiz this morning and I've posted yesterday's Blog entry along with today's Daily Programme to https://blog.rakkor.uk - Time for some Breakfast
  20. We're currently sat on the balcony, and the internet is OK, perfectly adequate for general internetty stuff - Signal strength is Weak/Medium on my Chromebook - Again this is in 4098 so YMMV
  21. On the steamers on the Promenade deck it's toasty in the sun, on the starboard side people were wrapped in blankets. Inside it varies, It's been chilly in the Winter Garden when it's cold outside, in the PG dining room it's perfect for me, but some of the ladies, Jane included, were saying it was warm.
  22. @aday10 Here you go - the quality it not brilliant Embarkation-Oct_01.pdf
  23. Had to be quick this morning off the Portugal coast before the sun disappeared behind the clouds
  24. It was the Black and White Gala night last night and we (certainly in PG) all got a welcome aboard glass of fizz, which Jane enjoyed and then when we got back down to the stateroom there was another half bottle, Pol Acker this time, and in place of my usual turn down chocolates was a little box of Charbonnel and Walker salted caramel truffles which weren't mine apparently.
