  1. Exactly. Musk has raised the Starlink prices for everyone - in some cases by 100%. Princess can't be expected to absorb the increased cost.
  2. I consider the packages to be bargains and would purchase regardless. I am curious if I will have to pay an upgraded price to get the upgraded Internet. Time will tell. Still delighted.
  3. In the past I would buy on board. Don't tell Princess, but they could always start by raising the purchase price once on the ship. Or give a discount for pre-purchasing (by not raising that price).
  4. An increase in package prices is overdue and expected. It's why I pre-purchase for cruises months in advance.
  5. On Celebrity, you paid for it whether you use it or not. Nothing is free.

  7. Royal has some sort of agreement with MGM. NCL is with Caesar's. Carnival had an agreement with BetMGM - dunno if they still do. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/betmgm-and-carnival-corporation-partner-to-offer-cruise-ship-gaming-301569556.html
  8. Time will tell. https://www.carnival-news.com/2024/05/23/carnival-cruise-line-and-ballys-double-down-on-benefits-for-casino-guests
  9. You can go over $2000/transaction at Guest Services, but they are supposed to notify Miami and get permission, so there will be a slight delay in when the money actually posts to your account.
  10. More people already receive offers than can be used on ships. I think the casino prefers to take a chance on known gamblers vs unknowns but is looking for higher returns. Carnival now has a partnership with Bally's to attract top tier land gamblers to try their luck at sea. Now that sounds like a better win-win.
  11. One of them isn't sleeping in the cabin they obtained with their offer. Your spin doesn't change that. It is a transfer
  12. I wouldn't assume downtown HMC won't shift closer to the pier, or that there won't be transportation provided from the ship to the main drag and beyond. No doubt Diamonds International and Dufry will provide plenty of air conditioned shade.
  13. Juneau is the port for whale watching. We've cruise Alaska a number of times and tried several vendors in Juneau. We prefer a small boat. Our current favorite is Jayleen's company. https://jayleensalaska.com/
  14. This isn't spin the pineapple. The offers are non-transferable, but that is exactly what is being attempted in terms of cabin pricing. Some other gambler with a legitimate offer might have wanted that cabin. They probably care. Many gamblers know someone who is mistaken about how much they lose. Sometimes they guess high and sometimes low. Not very many keep detailed records. Karma will sort things out.
  15. Some are always trying to take advantage and get more than they are entitled to.
  16. As I read it, the pier is for 1 ship, so some may still tender. I see continous shuttles running all over.
  17. The pier is supposed to be capable of accepting the largest Carnival ships, so I see some expansion coming on the island,
  18. Sure I would be. Carnival has a business plan and I'm quite certain the first line isn't do whatever RCL does. You keep trying to tell Carnival how to run their business.
  19. Stock prices often have no basis in fact and prove nothing. You'll still have to pay for alcohol on Celebration Key.
  20. I understand that's how you feel. However we are discussing Carnival, not Burger King. You can't have it YOUR way. It is Carnival's Cruise Line and Carnival's rules. They aren't grabbing my money and there is no reason why I should subsidize others more than I do now.
  21. First drink is free for many now, but not first timers.
