  1. I dunno, a different class ship, but I think if the original molds still exist that would be best.
  2. In other news, CCL stock is up a buck, +/-.
  3. Think how much bacon lawyers would keep for themselves. Probably only a few shards left to split between the passengers.
  4. Carnival would refund your money for a cancelled cruise and almost certainly any non-refundable expenses, and likely more.
  5. On Magic, Carnival tends to overcompensate, and they know not everyone is going to sign a NDA. It may well be more than anyone could get, once you subtract out lawyer fees.
  6. The ships Carnival has built these days have short, fat, ugly funnels. I'm not sure the tops are interchangeable. Maybe with some high temp duct tape an artistic license they can improvise something.
  7. I cruise on both, especially when Princess gives me a deal. Princess may be swankier, but is also more sedate, borderline comatose as the night hours pass. In common there is usually a line of angry people constantly complaining at guest services, although on Princess they are more likely to preface their complaint with, "Do you know how much I paid for this cruise?" Princess does lead on Internet these days, but bacon is a don't care. I've already eaten far more than is healthy.
  8. They sell passes in advance and a couples pass is cheaper than two singles. If you can catch a spa sale, bonus!
  9. Some HI cruises used to go from San Diego, but it was always a ruse. Spirit would disembark passengers in San Diego, then head for Ensenada. Embarking passengers in San Diego would check in an then be bused to Ensenada to board the ship.
  10. True, but that doesn't allow complainers to complain. I've paid more for other cruise lines, I sail on Carnival by choice.
  11. So how far in advance did you book your Tracy Arm excursion? I know it is limited and would like to try next time.
  12. Also look for daily lectures so you know what you are looking for when spotted.
  13. NCL and Royal stocks are also in the toilet. I do see CCL has started stock buybacks again at these levels. Carnival has also picked up an extra billion in unsecured notes to refinance some of the existing debt.
  14. It is completely irresponsible to fly if you are covid positive. There may not be a law against it, but there are other laws you could be breaking e.g. culpable negligence. According to the CDC Do NOT travel if… You have COVID-19 symptoms, even if you recovered from COVID-19 within the past 90 days or are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines. You tested positive for COVID-19. Do not travel until a full 10 days after your symptoms started or the date your positive test was taken if you had no symptoms.
  15. If it is Dirk Younkerman , he's pretty good. He does Alaska and Hawaii. Must be hard.
  16. Difference between day PXL_20220513_172125463_TS.mp4
  17. In general, that's Alaska cruises! If it isn't foggy and the planet are aligned, you might see the Aurora. You might have a chance in a couple of days. https://www.gi.alaska.edu/monitors/aurora-forecast
  18. I wouldn't email them at all. It confirms you received their spam. I doubt it came from Carnival. Who sent it?
  19. Mere details. There are flights daily from the US to Cuba. You just need to keep records for 5 years of what you did. Here is a guide: https://www.tourepublic.com/blog/how-to-travel-to-cuba/ The main obstacle to cruising I see is the lawsuit against the cruise lines for using the dock in Havana and violating the policy they were supposed to follow. When that gets settled I see little to stop cruising from resuming. All it would take is a sharpie. https://www.tampabay.com/news/business/2022/03/22/miami-judge-deals-major-blow-to-cruise-companies-that-traveled-to-cuba/
  20. Support for the Cuban people should be easy to qualify for and is the most popular. How you get to Cuba should be irrelevant - you can buy a plane ticket today. What you can't do is spend money at government owned properties. What qualifies as support for the Cuban people? Staying in a room at a rented accommodation in a private Cuban residence (casa particular), eating at privately-owned Cuban restaurants (paladares), and shopping at privately-owned stores run by self-employed Cubans (cuentapropista) are examples of activities that qualify for this general license.
  21. The ship was originally planned for Costa, then they had to Carnivalize it. Farcus may have run out of drugs.
  22. If I remember correctly, there are small sliding windows behind the Spas on Deck 10. If the weather is crappy and the sliding roof is closed, you can stand between the spa and the window and be mostly protected. Or maybe they removed those. But there should be some sliding glass windows on that level.
  23. Until they accommodate the Miracle cruisers to Radiance, I assume they will pull those sailings This is the one I'm curious about - 15 Sep 15 San Francisco, CA San Francisco, CA Carnival / Carnival Miracle 4.5 $3,509 $2,789 21% Sold Out
