  1. 7 Carnival cruises since the restart, never paid full price, and never an issue getting shareholder OBC. Just applied for and received approval for the 8th Carnival cruise OBC. Also applied for a Princess cruise at the same time. May need to goose them.
  2. I have to wonder if people abusing the system are what led some to be denied?
  3. It isn't testing that is slowing down tourism to the US. A number of countries have issued warnings about visiting the US. As for testing before cruising, if you prevent a single case from boarding a cruise ship, you have prevented some spread of the virus. It is worth it. Somehow trying to compare flying and cruising is a false equivalence.
  4. It is certainly legal for Carnival to ban any customer for any reason or no reason. There is no right to cruise. Frankly, some customers need to be fired.
  5. I think the ticket contract is clear that masks may be required, along with other measures. One example: (c) Guest acknowledges that Carnival’s COVID-19 Guest Protocols may or will include (but are not be limited to): (1) completion of an accurate, truthful and complete health questionnaire in a form and containing any health or travel-related questions as determined by Carnival in its sole discretion based on advice from cognizant government or health authorities or medical experts for each Guest prior to boarding; (2) pre-embarkation and/or periodic testing and temperature checks of each Guest followed by a period of isolation until test results are available; (3) modified capacity rules for activities (including but not limited to restaurants, gyms, and entertainment events on board and for shore excursions) which may limit or eliminate the ability of Guest to participate in particular activities; (4) mandatory use by each Guest (except for children under the age of 2 years) of face masks in most locations outside of the Guest’s stateroom while on board, during embarkation, disembarkation and shore excursions; (5) mandatory physical distancing of Guests outside of their cruise companions (family and/or immediate travel group) at any/all times while on board and during embarkation, disembarkation, and shore excursions; (6) additional restrictions during shore excursions depending on local conditions, including but not limited to denial of disembarkation at destinations unless participating in only Carnival-approved shore excursions and denial of reboarding the vessel for any noncompliance by Guest or members of Guest’s travelling party with COVID-19 Guest Protocols; (7) mandatory hand-sanitizing by Guests upon entry or exit of any public areas; (8) confinement of Guests to staterooms, quarantine or emergency disembarkation of Guest if, in Carnival’s sole discretion, such steps are necessary to prevent or slow the spread of COVID-19; (9) the required completion by Guest in a timely manner of any written authorizations or consent forms required for Carnival to carry out its COVID-19 Guest Protocols (including but not limited to medical information, medical privacy, or personal data privacy consent forms), (10) vaccination of guests with documentary proof satisfactory to Carnival, according to the criteria set forth in the COVID-19 Guest Protocols in effect at the time of sailing; and; (11) other policies and procedures deemed by Carnival in its sole discretion to be necessary to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19.
  6. You can drop your carry on luggage off and then leave.
  7. The hassle is waiting in line at guest services, depending on the length of the line.
  8. Without the spoiler slowing it down, should be able to go faster. Getting ready to sail
  9. The hassle is waiting in line at Guest Services.
  10. I would have called them long before now. CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE* Guest Administration 3655 N.W. 87th Avenue Miami, FL 33178 Tel 800 438 6744 ext. 70450 Fax 305 406 6102 Email: shareholders@carnival.com
  11. Probably too much to hope that they will display webcams from all the ships. 🤣

  14. You should at least consider GeoBlue Voyager Choice for medical coverage regardless of any other insurance. https://www.geobluetravelinsurance.com/products/single-trip/voyager-compare-plans-single.cfm
  15. Carnival Destiny was always kind of a leaky ship and it sometimes continues with Sunshine, it seems. I suspect a number of crew shortages are due to quarantine.
  16. I don't think the cooking demonstration has restarted on any of the Carnival ships. Certainly none of the ships I've been on in the past year.
  17. Looking at the CDC data, 90 cruise ships have Orange status vs only 3 with Green status. None in Yellow or Red. Last year there were a lot more Green. I think this only reflects cases reported on the ships.
  18. Yes. The Pub you can get half price alcohol during happy hours. Even cases of beer. But if you have Drinks on Us or Cheers?
  19. That would be Donkey and the big guy.
  20. I don't think Chris (Flying Irishman) is who they are referring to - he will be on Mardi Gras next month, but a Christian, of which there is more than one. Christian "Deon" Williams; Christian de la Rosa...
  21. It isn't. There are a bunch testing positive out of Galveston as well.
  22. Who knows. Christian is a floater who was schedule to start on Freedom in a few days. Maybe they brought him in early to train a little on Horizon. Donkey is scheduled for Mardi Gras in September and was going to leave Horizon next month anyway.
