  1. If the earnings are a loss, doesn't a lower loss per share look better? What next loan?
  2. The third person was likely charged less than the first two. My guess is $239 less.
  3. Not sure why some are so obsessed with Carnival selling a billion dollars in stock. First of all, they filed for that last January. It wasn't a surprise to anyone who follow such things. Selling stock doesn't increase their debt and some of the proceeds will be used to pay down debt Carnival has been doing stock buybacks off and on, so the "dilution" of the new stock is not what some think.
  4. Then you would understand why someone with early dining should not be allowed to switch around. The seats they would have occupied at early dining now go unused and wasted, and they would make waits or reservations for other venues worse
  5. Early assigned dining cruisers are not forced to choose early dining. If they want choices they should chose an option that gives them choices. Easy peasy.
  6. As you note, the earliest dining times are the most popular. Traditional early seating usually fills up. Those people are guaranteed early fixed dining. If they wanted flexibility, they should have chosen ATD.
  7. I don't think DirectTV is even going to bid on Sunday Ticket. https://frontofficesports.com/newsletter/fos-pm-google-bids-on-sunday-ticket/
  8. Personally, I would have opted for one of the nonstop flights from RDU-LAX, but I'm funny like that.
  9. If the beers were $6.50, then 6x6.50=$39 + 18% = $46+. So even at that, a little discount.
  10. I have a flight on United next year through a different cruise line, and different class, but I can monkey around with the seats all I like on United's site. Do you have a United account and try adding the flight to it?
  11. Carnival won't sail into a hurricane, either. The safety of ship, passengers, and crew come first.
  12. Some of the tender ports in the UK and Ireland don't have tenders and ships have to use their own. This can result in long wait times. The cruise line doesn't matter. If you tender into Dublin or Edinburgh, surprise!
  13. and Dover Castle! In years gone by, we've cruised from Dover on both Carnival Splendor and Carnival Legend. AFAIK, the pools on Pride aren't heated so the temperature will be whatever it is. Not a lot of A/C in England, so the terminal temperature when it is hot outside will be...
  14. Well, it is beyond 60 days, and neither Carnival nor Southwest did anything wrong.
  15. As with Oprah's audience, everybody gets the offer. You can book yourself while on the cruise or up until the offer expires. It made the Future Cruise Desk obsolete. https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4565/~/carnivals-future-cruise-vacation-welcome-home-program
  16. One of the first issues I have with this is Southwest Flight 4389 was, is, and on Aug 6 will be a flight from Las Vegas to LAX.
  17. It did fly and the casinos were smoke free for a brief covid moment on Carnival. Removal of the casino bars had nothing to do with smoking while gambling. These days, as long as smokers have somewhere to smoke on the ship, they will survive - only to succumb to something else. But smoke free Paradise was very innovative and so your narrative that Carnival isn't innovative is false.
  18. now add in Red and Gold. If anything, Carnival needs to beef up the lower levels - you know - the people who actually spend money. Novice cruisers does not refer to just cruise virgins.
  19. I don't really care enough to look up. But along with home ports are short cruises. Does anyone do more? Carnival has been in business for 50 years. Some of their cruise lines much longer than that. They know who and what butters their bread. They have a variety of cruise lines for those who are looking for more. Nobody is forced to cruise on any of them. Don't blame Carnival if you made a mistake.
