  1. Right now, there are limited LNG ports. Ships don't spend a lifetime in one port. By your logic, Mardi Gras should move to New Orleans. It is premature to build new ships until you are profitable again. I bet some cruise lines delay or cancel some of the ships they have on order.
  2. You really should check it out for yourself. Live your own life. I often skip them, especially with covid around, but the one I went to earlier this year had appetizers and plenty to drink. I was sloshed.
  3. Some things have changed a little, but if you never had them before? Complimentary 1.5 liter bottle of water Redeemable at any bar, restaurant or stateroom Complimentary beverage at Seaday Brunch Redeemable in the dining room; On ships where brunch is not available, a complimentary beverage at will be offered at breakfast or lunch in Main Dining Room “Chocolate Delight” on 5+ day cruises Please call room service to schedule delivery Unique, collectible pin received on each sailing Redeemable at the Photo Gallery no later than two days before the end of the cruise Carnival logo gift on every sailing Redeemable at the Photo Gallery no later than two days before the end of the cruise IMPORTANT NOTE: Until further notice – Given our focus on meeting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) requirements and implementation of new health and safety protocols, we will need to adjust how we deliver some of the VIFP priority benefits, as follows: PRIORITY CHECK-IN & BOARDING – Platinum and Diamond guests will now be given 48 hours advance access to select their preferred Arrival Appointment while completing their Online Check-In. A boarding zone will be assigned based on guest's Arrival Appointment. WATER SHUTTLE PRIORITY – Priority water shuttle debark will be provided subject to local guidance at the destinations we visit, which may change without prior notice. CASINO – We are currently unable to host casino tournaments on board and guests will be given US $25 in Casino FunPlay®. DEBARK – We will do our best to offer priority debarkation, however, this may not be possible if we have unusually high numbers of Platinum and Diamond guests on board.
  4. It will likely bounce around until final payment, then all kinds of cabins will open.
  5. A better experiment on a cruise ship might be to open your balcony and cabin doors and watch the contents of your cabin evacuate.
  6. On a b2b2b on Carnival Splendor a few years back, I debarked the ship, walked into town until I found a liquor store, bought a bottle of scotch, walked back to the ship, and took the bottle straight to my cabin. No problem.
  7. Pictures reminded me of the road leading to Galveston.
  8. The new port won't open until Nov 2024 at the earliest. I bet the LNG ships do a dance before then.
  9. I assume they are on your booking, so you can check everyone in at the same time. There should be a paper laundry bag in your cabin, but perhaps best to ask the steward because they will know when you need to have ready and what the turn around time might be. You can all board and debark together.
  10. Do your cruise docs indicate Platinum? They should.
  11. A lot of people go all out for Halloween on Carnival. I know on Halloween itself there is a costume contest with many participants. Pumpkin carving, etc. The ship is decorated with a Halloween theme. I don't know about month long celebrations, but surely some activities will be common

  13. It's the Milestone program and still exists
  14. How it works: Carnival is pleased to announce that we are adjusting certain protocols to reflect the lifting of CDC requirements for the U.S. cruise industry. These changes will be made in phases, with the first taking effect on Thursday, August 4, 2022, and focused on short cruise itineraries of 5 nights or less. All changes are subject to any requirements of destinations on the itinerary. We are waiting to hear back from certain destinations and these protocols will continue to evolve.
  15. No, I'm not new. As a company, Carnival can set any protocols they want, but weren't tests required for the Bahamas before? or cruises in general?
  16. So if Margaritaville at Sea jumps off a bridge, Carnival should follow? Doesn't make sense. Carnival's cruise line; Carnival's rules.
  17. Don't those areas have doors to the outside?
  18. Not enough information. Call Carnival or your Travel Agent.
