I think there might be a special guest, but no fanfare associated. I know there was nothing after the recent Carnival Glory dry dock. -

One time we had one made FOR the matre d' (his assistant was the co-conspirator in this case) (it wasn't his birthday or probably the right age).

Tell the maitre d' what kind of cake you want and offer to pay for it. Something that will make the other cruisers jealous. We've done that before.

You can, but be careful if you leave the terminal. Traffic and construction can be a problem getting back to the terminal. Allow plenty of time. I wouldn't plan on early boarding. I would plan on many people showing up before their appointment time. -
The catfish was pretty good, but not good like we get back home.

Question about port stops in country that requires Visa

Viking is not Carnival, but... https://www.vikingcruises.com/oceans/cruise-destinations/asia-australia/bangkok-bali-beyond/visa-information.html I think Carnival could apply for visas for everyone and pass the cost on, but only Carnival can answer if they will. I didn't see anything in the ticket contract that permits them to do so, though. -

You are wrong. Port charges are much less than $100. In the past, when enough people complained, Carnival decided fine, we will only refund port charges, and kept the goodwill offering.
