  1. No, but I can't tell you how many times the down the rear elevator arrived from deck 17 with all the buttons pressed and no one on it. We don't normally cruise when kids are off school so it was a new experience for me.
  2. From what I heard, Princess has dedicated half their ships for the Alaskan season.
  3. Wow. Another flaw in they "secure" Medallion system. 😁 That explains why I found my door privacy indicator changed a few times on our last cruise. I asked our cabin steward & he said he didn't change it. We had loads of younger kids on that trip.
  4. From what I've seen on Princess a walker would have a challenge to enter even in a balcony cabin. I believe most categories of cabins have similar entrances.
  5. I experienced the same thing but for a different trip. There should be no reason to charge $10 yet if you don't have the new package. Looks like I'll be calling them before long.
  6. I guess many people just differ in their opinions about that. Enjoy the Princess comedians.
  7. I'm not positive about it, but I really believe that only the person who resides in that cabin can make changes to the signs "privacy please" or "service the cabin" indicator.
  8. We were on the same cruise and I didn't find the download speed to be any faster by the IC then my cabin. It slowed down at around 6 AM everyday by the IC & when I returned back to my cabin with coffee it remained the same.
  9. Perhaps it simply because the number of posts on other cruise lines has calmed down because their dress codes were relaxed a few years back. Princess was the last holdout of the mass market cruise lines and hence there are still a good number of the formalists who dislike any changes. Do you remember the heated discussions when smoking was more common on Princess? I'm certain that in a yew years, these dress discussions will follow suit.
  10. When boarding the ship, what's wrong with it. They only move the bag 10 feet to the luggage trolley.
  11. That's why they gave explicit warnings to everyone before the performance began what to expect. All the shows I attended were always packed.
  12. Turn it in at the PSD for a replacement if the color is that upsetting.
  13. Keep in mind that the larger the table, the longer your dining time will be. The waiters like to keep everyone eating each course at the same time and that means you meal will only progress as fast as the slowest eater.
  14. Isn't it nice for a change not to have to conform to a set of rigid standards. Especially from those formalists who have tried for years now to force everyone to live by what they consider proper.
  15. Not at all. Just like yourself we questioned the value of any of the Elite perks and also decided that the Plus package is no longer worth it for us. We'll be returning to paying for the items we want & use the setup for coffee's. The laundry is questionable and we only use it for our older articles sine sooner or later they will damage/shrink something. Their internet is so slow that unless your using it in the middle of the night, it's worthless & I certainly can live without all the spam I receive everyday.😉
  16. It could be the cost of food and Princess doing their best to cut back & still present something decent. We always wander up to the buffet just to see what we missed even if we eat in the DR. I wish they could post somewhat of a menu at the buffet.
  17. Tipping the Maitre' D isn't at all necessary. It's his job.
  18. If you like to attend the main show (either 7PM or 7:30PM) plus doing something afterwards you're pretty much confined to eat early in order to fit everything in.
  19. Let us know how that answer works out for you. 😆
  20. Yep, strange. That's why I let her ramble on longer than I should have.
  21. That's about the only reason I might not book a cabin on that deck. Lots of walking.
