  1. Did you ask the Pass Serv. desk for one of the older cruise cards? From all their published information they did say the cards would be available if you preferred to use them over the Medallion.
  2. I brought a bunch of plastic straws from Burger King and only wound up bringing them home with me. I found we didn't need them at all and the paper straws provided by Princess worked good enough. I certainly wouldn't go to the trouble of having to carry and wash out a metal straw after each use. It's just to much bother for me.
  3. You can easily use the medallion app to change your public viewed photo to anything you like, then only the security photo can be viewed by the Princess crew.
  4. The paper straws they had on our last cruse in April lasted for the whole drink.
  5. I don't think that many of those passengers believed is was all that dangerous.
  6. Since the recipe cards have returned, what about the shirts to go with them?
  7. ❓ ❓ Got me. I drink coffee and don't care to make it in my room anyway.
  8. Neither can I but Princess has their reasons. Possibly they might not have sufficient business if they didn't have kettles in the rooms?
  9. That pretty much answers the question. It's the people who set what they perceive the code to be.....and for the UK it seems to be dressing up to enjoy a vacation.
  10. Talking to my husband last night about the HDMI situation on wall mounted TV's, he was tinkering around & came up with an extension holder for the end of the HDMI cable to plug it into the socket. This way I won't be forced to have to be the one to squeeze my smaller hand behind the TV.😊
  11. I realize that this is off topic but out of curiosity, does Princess enforce their dress code on the UK cruises or do people just follow the formal code blindly. I only ask because when the Enchanted was still in the US before it crossed, the dress code was pretty much left to the passengers without any real enforcement.
  12. Maybe they don't trust the US passengers to be responsible? 😉
  13. While I'm not certain that the system on the Island is the same as the other ships I would still bet on the above instructions being likely to work. It has more to do with switching their system to the HDMI input than the type of TV on any particular ship. While it might be very difficult to get an HDMI cable plugged into the wall mounted TV, is is doable if you have small hands. Let us know how it works out for you.
  14. Either way, they were absolutely terrible.
  15. I take it that they only asked people to wear them and it wasn't mandatory.
  16. Having a free tour included in the Medallion app might not be to bad for the newbies on the ship.
  17. They did on the Enchanted last March/April. I've read that some ships didn't have them. Maybe a supply issue?
  18. Since the virus is on the downhill side, I'm glad to hear that things are returning to somewhat normal once again.
  19. You may be correct and it was my assumption that they were leftovers from the previous night in the DR. At the buffet they were cold and keep on ice and as I recall had large shrimp mixed in with them. I never saw them do that again.
  20. It's just a though but maybe one of the crew members would know the brand from the label?? I've never seen then filling the dispensers.
  21. Yes, but that provided there are no hiccups when arriving in Ft Lauderdale. Personally I would choose 4:10 PM and be safe.
  22. I think you'll have quite a wait for lobster on the second formal unless you special order it from a Specialty restaurant for a price.
  23. That's exactly the point. i.e.- The sanctuary space, cabana's around the retreat pool, Club Class dining, Specialty restaurants. It all takes away a little from everyone else. I'm waiting for them to introduce different speeds of Wi-Fi= if they can even get the basic level working properly.
  24. Only if the ship wasn't sailing filled and there was another room available.
