It's good to hear they picked one of their older ships rather than Royal class ships. -
From what I've read here on CC, many people do feel obligated to give extra, even though it's not "required".

It's more of a money saving thing rather then being strict about decorations. At least on our cruise last March.

It's nice if you're not planning to do anything much during the day but if you're a pool person reserving a chair takes precedence over a leisurely breakfast in the DR.

A table for two doesn't always mean quick service. They seem to serve at one speed for breakfast.

They would work also. We don't even have heavy coats since we live in south Florida and never need them. 😄

Agreed. It's better than printing all those pages that normally aren't needed 99% of the time. -
That's a big problem since most people that normally use that pool will migrate to the other pools to escape their activities. They also tend to take over the aft lounge in the evenings.

I think the those heaver duty might be better for coats & jackets then the ones sold by Harbor Freight.

But you'll miss the dining room lunch and the buffet will be packed by mid afternoon.

We usually don't pack until the last minute and having our luggage with us to unpack as soon as we get to the cabin also means that there are less wrinkles to tend with. That, in addition to the fact that we don't have to be concerned about any items being taken.

As time goes by even the most dedicated passengers who prefer formal clothing come to realize it's so much easier not to pack the extra clothing just for those events, especially when a large majority doesn't bother. -
That's the kind of travel agent I'm looking for but as you say, they can't stay in business very long giving away the store. 😄

If you feel the need to get involved in the Princess activities then by all means bring the white and gold clothing to blend in with all the other people. -

I didn't even try it. We eat enough chicken at home and I expect something better on a ship.

Especially when on of the main course items is broiled chicken and nothing else was appealing.

Also, I think I've read posts that mentioned the 10% Elite discount is no longer applied if an item was put on sale. I swear I though that in the past it was applied no matter what the price was.
